IDS 401 Final Project Part One Guidelines and Rubric Overview This course explores globalization and its impact on shaping the world around us. Globalization influences society, and society influences each of us, creating a feedback loop between them. We will critically analyze this feedback loop in this course through social, historical, and theoretical approaches to globalization as well as the four general education lenses: history, humanities, natural and applied sciences, and social sciences. Each of these four perspectives allows us to better understand the construction of globalization and its interrelation with society. From this enhanced understanding, you will be equipped to draw connections between global society and your personal and professional lives, helping you to become a better-informed citizen who can make a positive difference in the world. Issues and events in globalization have a pervading influence on many aspects of society, and how they are dealt with requires diverse knowledge and perspectives to investigate and change. The purpose of this project is to examine a specific issue or event in globalization and how it impacts individuals and society through the development of a critical analysis portfolio and a presentation in which you will demonstrate your ability to think critically, investigate, and communicate clearly. These skills are often necessary to achieve personal and professional goals across many disciplines. Historical awareness informs various aspects of our lives. We live in a time of rapid change, and we often think more about the future than the past. However,
studying history can help us better understand our own lives in the context of the places we live and society in general. In America, specifically, the government is
informed by its citizens. If the ideals of society shift, that shift will eventually move throughout the different levels of government, effecting widespread change.
For the projects in this course, you will select a historical event that has impacted American society in some way. You may select an event that was discussed in
the course, or you may select your own event, with instructor approval. You may consider using the event you chose to work on in your Perspectives in History
class, if that event is something you wish to investigate further through this assessment.
In Project 1, you will develop a plan for an essay on this historical event. The plan will include a brief description of the selected historical event and the resources
you will use in your research. In addition, you will identify an audience for your essay and decide how to communicate your information to this audience. In
Project 2, you will write an essay analyzing the historical event you selected, examining its impact on society as well as its impact on you personally.
Project 1 addresses the following course outcomes:
Select appropriate and relevant primary and secondary sources in investigating foundational historic events
Communicate effectively to specific audiences in examining fundamental aspects of human history
Apply key approaches to studying history in addressing critical questions related to historical narratives and perspectives

Your final longer-term project in this course is to complete a multimedia presentation. The work you did on the Topic Exploration Worksheet in Module Two and
the historical context and introduction in Module Six will directly support your work on this project.
One of the prime benefits of studying history is that it allows us to learn about who we are and where we came from. The people and events of the past can
often shed light on the conditions and social norms of the present. Having historical awareness can inform various aspects of your life as well as future
aspirations. Learning from past failures and successes can shape ideals and values for years to come.
This final longer-term project is designed to help you understand the fundamental processes and value of studying history. In the first project, you completed
the Topic Exploration Worksheet on one of the topics or themes from the library guide. You investigated the types of research you might need to do to learn
more about the topic and developed research questions. In Project 2, you used this worksheet to complete a research plan and introduction. You selected one of
your research questions and did some secondary-source research, speculated on primary source needs, and used the information to write the introduction and
thesis statement for a possible research paper.
In this third project, you will create a multimedia presentation that explores both major developments in historical inquiry and the value of examining history.

throughout your time as a CAS student, you have been exposed to various developmental theories and practices that align with them. One way that we can connect theoretical understandings with developmentally appropriate practices is through the spaces we create for children and adolescents at-risk.
Develop a classroom or community center/plot of land floorplan where there is intentionality behind every inch of the space. Label each area with its purpose and what area of development it is meant to foster. Be specific, go beyond saying, "Cognitive, Social-emotional, Language, or Physical development". You should have a minimum of 4 pages:
1. A cover page (1 points) where you list your name, student ID, dat, "HW3" and then tell me about the space you are designing and for what age group and population.

In Project 1, you will develop a plan for an essay on this historical event. The plan will include a brief description of the selected historical event and the resources

The Final Project should demonstrate an understanding of the reading assignments, class discussions, your own research and the application of new knowledge. It should utilize previous skills developed in foundational health care courses and apply them within the context and viewpoint of a health care administrator and their role in managing health and human services.
For the Final Project, select one of the following topics and conduct scholarly and professional research while integrating the course’s learning outcomes to address a selected topic:
Research specific leadership and management traits and theories necessary for managing a multidisciplinary and multicultural health care organization to promote organizational effectiveness.
Present how strategic planning, performance improvement, and information systems are interrelated and fundamental to the delivery of quality health care.
Examine the financial characteristics of health care delivery along with managing costs, revenues, and human resources.
Analyze ethical and legal concepts, including specific federal regulations, required of health care organizations to ensure the delivery of high quality health care that protects patient safety.
Research Requirements
Academic research and papers must meet certain standards of quality that are recognized by the academic community. What constitutes quality academic research?
The use of primary (original), credible sources written by experts in the field of study.
Ensuring secondary sources are supported by research in primary sources.
Making sure all research is relevant and that material used is pertinent to the area of study.

Globalization influences society, and society influences each of us, creating a feedback loop between them. We will critically analyze this feedback loop in this course through social, historical, and theoretical approaches to globalization as well as the four general education lenses: history, humanities, natural and applied sciences, and social sciences. Each of these four perspectives allows us to

From this enhanced understanding, you will be equipped to draw connections between global society and your personal and professional lives, helping you to become a better-informed citizen who can make a positive difference in the world. Issues and events in globalization have a pervading influence on many aspects of society, and how they are dealt with requires diverse knowledge and perspectives to investigate and change. The purpose of this project is to examine a specific issue or event in globalization and how it impacts individuals and society through the development of a critical analysis por tfolio and a presentation in which you will demonstrate your ability to think critically, investigate, and communicate clearly. These skills are often necessary to achieve personal and professional goals across many disciplines. In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes: study or chosen profession in an expanding global network [IDS-401-01] the effect that global connectedness has on the state of national identity [IDS-401-02] fostering culturally inclusive discourse to meet personal and professional goals [IDS-401-04] the benefits and challenges of global connectedness through the incorporation of diverse perspectives and viewpoints informed by relevant

Through viewing the issue or event through these lenses, you will gain insight into how globalization affects society as well as both your own individual framework of perception and the choices, attitudes, and behaviors of others in the world around you. You will compile your analyses within a portfolio that will include an analysis of each lens, plus introduction and conclusion paragraphs. Altogether, this portfolio should be 6–8 pages long, not counting references. Within your portfolio, each analysis should be 3–5 paragraphs long. Be sure to support your analyses with appropriate and relevant evidence from theory and research. Specifically, you must address the critical elements listed below. 1
