Let your students learn their first foreign language by the same Montessori approach that they use for the rest of their education. You can learn in the same way.
As a public speaker ,what you say leaves no permanent record, except possibly in the memories of some of your listeners. Nevertheless the speech you deliver will have a unique value, reflecting your originality, exercising your critical thinking, and building your credibility.

To me, it's the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. I can sit for hours in a café in Paris, soaking in the atmosphere and observing the people around me, but then I'm always up for an impromptu excursion to see a new part of France or Italy. I'm in awe of how different the world looks from one country to the next, and I love to feel like I'm really experiencing that variety—the unique culture and history around every corner. Plus, I find that traveling helps my writing. When I've been to a place before, whether for work or as a tourist, there's an easier familiarity when I visit again (that is if it's done right!). It gives me a creative spark when I absorb all kinds of new information about what makes that place special and then try to brainstorm ways to bring some of that into my own work.
If you are gearing up for a trip to Europe and are after some tips and ideas on ways to maximise your money then you are in the right place. I am currently about 6 weeks into a 1 year trip overseas. I am travelling with 1 friend who has a limited budget so we are trying to be as economical as possible while still having maximum fun and seeing all the sights
Here are cheap Europe travel tips and ideas that I had wished I had known before I left:

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
