This document discusses ideas for improving the transition from school to work. It proposes that employers participate more in the education process through policies with universities. Many ideas are generated, such as increasing internships, integrating companies into schools, and requiring that skills needed by employers are offered in school courses. The most practical idea is incorporating school activities that meet real needs of external organizations. The most disruptive idea is directly implanting needed skills into students' brains for quick expertise. The author's favorite ideas are working with all stakeholders to change curriculums based on broader needs, and allowing companies to provide recognized degree programs.
