The Ice Ages were periods of extreme cold that covered large parts of Europe, Asia, and North America in thick ice sheets around 100,000 years ago. As the glaciers grew, sea levels dropped and exposed land bridges connecting continents like Asia and North America over what is now the Bering Strait. Humans had to adapt to the harsh Ice Age conditions to survive, such as enriching their diets with fat.
