With IBMS Cinema you can manage the complete advertising
business cycle from the creation of proposals and booking
confirmations to the generation of media instructions, theater
playlist distribution, admissions and invoices.
Campaigns are defined and executed either using IBMS
Cinema’s internal campaign creation tools or initiated through
electronic bookings received from third party media planning
tools. Theaters can be selected by type, location, dynamically
based on admission coverage – or any combination of these
variables. IBMS Cinema also provides integrated geocoding,
creating new opportunities for local advertisers by allowing
them to cost-effectively target their own communities. For
example, a pizza delivery operation can easily target all of the
theaters within 5 miles of any of their locations.
A variety of pricing methods and buy types are included
such as theater specific, percent of coverage, rating and title
targeted selection with pricing options of CPM, cost per screen
or cost per spot. Once approved, proposed campaigns covering
cinema spot bookings and other promotions are converted
to confirmed bookings with a single click, activating the
automatic placer which then books the order in real time.

Flexible Inventory Definition and Management
IBMS Cinema provides you with a wide array of tools for
defining inventory as well as for packaging events to facilitate
the proposal and booking of rolling stock, slides and other
media formats. Choose from such parameters as target
location (local, regional, national), target audience ratings,
screen attributes, and content allocation slots (early pre-show,
late pre-show, etc.).
Inventory rules and regulations are easily enforced in IBMS
Cinema. For example, the system can automatically prevent
commercials for two similar types of products, such as two
brands of cars, from running consecutively. Theater restrictions
can be applied to specific product types such as alcohol or
commercials with suggestive content. The same is true for
exclusive product agreements: when a theater has an exclusive
agreement with a particular brand like a soft drink, IBMS
Cinema will prevent commercial placement for any other soft
drink brand.
Account Management Covers Multiple Customer Types and
Finance Functions
IBMS Cinema supports many advertising customer categories,
from agencies and direct clients to theater owners and billing
agencies. A wide array of finance functions are at your disposal
including revenue share with theater owners, commission
calculations, billing for advertisers and agencies, accounts
receivable and credit control. Customer accounts are specified
by such parameters as credit limit, commission scale, follow-up
event triggers (such as overdue payments or dormant activity),

With IBMS Cinema, account management functionality
extends to your own sales team, enabling you to monitor
the achievement of sales targets set for individual sales
reps and sales groups against forecasts. Control of discount
authority with required approvals and other criteria further
ensures control of the sales force. A complete history of client
assignments is maintained, allowing in-depth performance

Campaigns are scheduled using IBMS Cinema’s automatic
placement functionality, incorporating client specifications on
product clashing, separation and exclusion rules, and even
constraints for analog theater flight and media delivery lead

also constantly monitors the schedule to ensure that cinema
spots are booked in the optimal position and will automatically
preempt bookings to create availability if required.
Communication between Sales and Traffic is facilitated by
use of built-in workflow management functions, ensuring

schedule can be refined by moving or re-sequencing cinema
