    Overview

The Extreme Blue™ program is IBM's premier internship program for top-notch students
pursuing software development and MBA degrees.
Once selected into the program, you will become part of a team working in one of the 15
Extreme Blue labs worldwide. Your team's challenge is to develop the technology and business
plan for a new product or service that addresses an existing market challenge.
Through the program, interns have submitted more than 400 patent disclosures and have made
more than sixty open source contributions to the open source community. They helped create
solutions for key clients and bring-to-market the next generation of IBM products. Not bad for
just 12 weeks of work.
Unlike other intern programs that may relegate you to work on outdated technology, the
Extreme Blue teams work on leading technology that helps grow your skills and evolve you into
a more attractive candidate in the technology field. Interns in this high-performance environment
get to roll up their sleeves and work with "hot" technologies such as Cloud Computing, Web 2.0,
and petabyte-scale data analysis.

    Cool projects

Projects focus on making a strategic impact on an emerging business for IBM and are
driven from across IBM product development, services, and research areas. You are
guaranteed a challenging and diverse internship experience!

Extreme Blue™ projects are varied-focusing on topics in business opportunities such as Cloud
Computing, Web 2.0, Web Services, Virtualization and other emerging technologies. Extreme
Blue projects also represent and potentially impact all of IBM's core businesses in the areas of
hardware, software, services and research.

Early in the internship, you and your fellow interns will set a series of goals: baseline, target and
stretch. Your project sponsors and mentors will bank on your fresh ideas to make your project
extreme-so your input is critical. And at the end of the project, you will have a chance to show
off your work to the key decision-makers within the company.

The Extreme Blue™ internship program consists of innovative project teams comprised of three

What we look for in our candidates.
We want to build the best possible teams for the Extreme Blue™ projects and look at three main
factors across all geographies:
        Skills
        This is a short program with extremely challenging projects, so all teams are expected to
        hit the ground running.
        Experience
        MBA students must have some business experience, although you do not need
        experience in running a start-up, nor do you need to be experienced in writing code. For
        technical students, we are looking for strong experience in a technical industry in
        Javascript, Java™, C or C++ software development.
        Passion
        We are looking for people to work on projects and technologies they are passionate
        about, so enthusiasm is critical.

MATREX IT Internships

You want a little experience in the IT field. Well, we have a lot. The AT&T IT Internship offers
insight into the inner workings of a technology giant, known for leading the industry in
innovation. Through challenging assignments, exposure to our technology teams and on-the-job
experience, you’ll get a taste of what it means to be a tech guru at AT&T. It’s good to be a guru.

Cisco is a large organization with varying business requirements. We are constantly looking for
new talent, and offering internships is a great way for us to meet and interact with students who
are interested in our business.

We offer flexible internship options that can start throughout the year. Because everyone has
different motivation and availability, we work with candidates to determine the location and
duration of each internship.

Locations for internships include Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, Central and Eastern

                  Your Responsibilities:

                  Ideal candidates will have the ability to:

                  o Provide technical input to requirements

                  o Identify technology solution options (e.g. alternative approaches, results of
                  impact and analysis)

                  o Create or contribute to software design

o Design, develop and maintain complete solutions using custom code,
middleware and packaged applications and integrate these into the existing
operational environment.

o Conduct unit tests and performance tuning (e.g. write test cases;
troubleshoot and fix bugs)

o Support integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing and software
deployment

o Produce high quality documentation (e.g. Document design, code, and
processes to ensure reuse)

o Communicate status (e.g. report on progress; timely escalation of issues
and risks)

o Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and strategies


This position typically reports to an IT Manager and with a project manager
setting day-to-day goals and providing work direction. Interfaces with IT
team, IT Analysts and business partners.


Requirements:

Education

o Applicable Majors:

Typically requires studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

Students should currently have junior or senior standing as an
undergraduate.

Graduate level students will be considered.


Candidates must be enrolled in school full-time and be permanent resident of
India


The following skills and background are a plus:

o Experience or knowledge in developing web-based applications

o Knowledge of relational databases and Structured Query Language

o Understanding of object oriented design, analysis and programming
concepts

o Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to troubleshoot
software problems

o A strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive

o Ability to multi-task, self start, and work in a fast-paced team environment

o Ability to meet deadlines and commitments

o Strong oral and written communication skills

o Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team

  • 1. IBM  Overview The Extreme Blue™ program is IBM's premier internship program for top-notch students pursuing software development and MBA degrees. Once selected into the program, you will become part of a team working in one of the 15 Extreme Blue labs worldwide. Your team's challenge is to develop the technology and business plan for a new product or service that addresses an existing market challenge. Through the program, interns have submitted more than 400 patent disclosures and have made more than sixty open source contributions to the open source community. They helped create solutions for key clients and bring-to-market the next generation of IBM products. Not bad for just 12 weeks of work. Unlike other intern programs that may relegate you to work on outdated technology, the Extreme Blue teams work on leading technology that helps grow your skills and evolve you into a more attractive candidate in the technology field. Interns in this high-performance environment get to roll up their sleeves and work with "hot" technologies such as Cloud Computing, Web 2.0, and petabyte-scale data analysis.  Cool projects Projects focus on making a strategic impact on an emerging business for IBM and are driven from across IBM product development, services, and research areas. You are guaranteed a challenging and diverse internship experience! Extreme Blue™ projects are varied-focusing on topics in business opportunities such as Cloud Computing, Web 2.0, Web Services, Virtualization and other emerging technologies. Extreme Blue projects also represent and potentially impact all of IBM's core businesses in the areas of hardware, software, services and research. Early in the internship, you and your fellow interns will set a series of goals: baseline, target and stretch. We want to build the best possible teams for the Extreme Blue™ projects and look at three main factors across all geographies: Skills This is a short program with extremely challenging projects, so all teams are expected to hit the ground running. Experience MBA students must have some business experience, although you do not need experience in running a start-up, nor do you need to be experienced in writing code. For technical students, we are looking for strong experience in a technical industry in Javascript, Java™, C or C++ software development. Passion We are looking for people to work on projects and technologies they are passionate about, so enthusiasm is critical. 3
