I. Naive Robot Navigation Problem: Design a program that uses the BFS (Breadth-First Search) algorithm to find any of the shortest navigation routes for a line-following robot tasked with navigating a grid maze by following only white tiles. Traversal to adjacent tiles takes the same time regardless of the adjacent tiles direction. The program takes the following inputs (Do not hardcode any of the following parameters): 1. A maze configuration, maze, represented as an MxN 2D list, where M is the number of rows and N is the number of columns in the maze. Each element of the list represents a tile in the maze, with '1' indicating a white tile and '0' indicating an obstacle or black tile. 2. The starting coordinate, start, a two-element tuple (row_start_index, col_start_index) where the robot begins its journey within the maze. 3. The end coordinate, end, a two-element tuple (row_end_index, col_end_index) representing the desired destination point. 4. Legal moves boolean, all_direction. A value False indicates that the robot can move only in four directions (up, down, left, right), whereas True indicates that the robot can move in all directions (up, down, left, right, up-left, up-right, down-left, down-right). The program should provide the following output as a tuple with two elements: 1. A boolean value indicates whether the endpoint is reachable from the starting point (True if reachable, False if unreachable). 2. A list representing the navigation plan that the robot should follow successively to traverse the maze. This list should contain a sequence of coordinates representing the path from the starting point to the endpoint, considering the shortest possible route. Note: Your program should work for a maze of any size and any start and end coordinates within maze. Well test your programs output on a random maze configuration.

functions and write my code within the functions. The function signatures are provided for you in
the framework. Examine each one to see what will be needed by the end. I am given 2 functions to
start with: main() and display(board).
Part 1: Fill out the code for the placeToken function. It is given three parameters: (1) the board,
(2) the column in which to place a token, and (3) the token itself. The board is the two dimensional
list of characters, with spaces ' ' being empty locations. The column is a numerical index in which
to place the token, and the token is the character 'R' or 'Y'.

You have to write a program that provides navigation instructions for going from one place to another
based on a map.
The program will receive a map and the coordinates of the origin and destination points, and should
provide turn by turn instructions for reaching from the origin to the destination following the shortest
path.
Input
The input format is as follows:
An integer in a single line which says the number of problems to solve. Then, for each problem:
• Two integers in a line separated by a space indicating the width and height, respectively, of the
map (1000 or less).
• The map, which takes height + 2 lines of exactly width + 2 characters:
– The first and last lines are decorative and should be ignored.
– The first and last characters of each line are also decorative and should be ignored.
– The rest of characters represent the map:
* Each character represents an area cell of 1 km × 1 km.
* Each one can be either ‘*’ (asterisk, used to represent roads) or ‘’ (space, used to represent
everything else).
* The user can move from one cell with ‘*’ to any adjacent cell with ‘*’. Each cell has
at most 4 adjacent cells (north, south, east and west; i.e.: moving in diagonal is not

3. Vehicle Class
Write a fully documented class named Vehicle. This class represents a car which passes through
the intersection. Each instance must contain the serialId (the first car to arrive at the intersection
is serialId 1, the second car to arrive is serialId 2, the n'th car to arrive will have serialId >n) and
the time it arrived (stored as an int). The car must be initialized with a serialId and the time it
arrived. The serial counter is static and stores the number of vehicles that have arrived at the
intersection so far. It is the only variable that is modifiable.

Several Bigstone Cree Nation members and Baker spent most of that summer visiting important

The program will receive a map and the coordinates of the origin and destination points, and should

The output for each problem consists of a list of step by step instructions to go from the origin to the

possible, otherwise goes south if possible, otherwise goes west if possible and otherwise goes north.
If there is no way to go from the origin to the destination using the roads of the map, then the
program should print ‘No route found.’.
To describe a route, the program should print one instruction per line:
• The first instruction should be one of ‘Turn to the north.’, ‘Turn to the south.’, ‘Turn to
the east.’ or ‘Turn to the west.’.

3. Vehicle Class
Write a fully documented class named Vehicle. This class represents a car which passes through
the intersection. Each instance must contain the serialId (the first car to arrive at the intersection
is serialId 1, the second car to arrive is serialId 2, the n'th car to arrive will have serialId >n) and
the time it arrived (stored as an int). The car must be initialized with a serialId and the time it
arrived. The serial counter is static and stores the number of vehicles that have arrived at the
intersection so far. It is the only variable that is modifiable.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

I. Naive Robot Navigation ProblemDesign a program that uses the B.pdf
- 1. I. Naive Robot Navigation Problem: Design a program that uses the BFS (Breadth-First Search) algorithm to find any of the shortest navigation routes for a line-following robot tasked with navigating a grid maze by following only white tiles. Traversal to adjacent tiles takes the same time regardless of the adjacent tiles direction. The program takes the following inputs (Do not hardcode any of the following parameters): 1. A maze configuration, maze, represented as an MxN 2D list, where M is the number of rows and N is the number of columns in the maze. Each element of the list represents a tile in the maze, with '1' indicating a white tile and '0' indicating an obstacle or black tile. 2. The starting coordinate, start, a two-element tuple (row_start_index, col_start_index) where the robot begins its journey within the maze. 3. The end coordinate, end, a two-element tuple (row_end_index, col_end_index) representing the desired destination point. 4. Legal moves boolean, all_direction. A value False indicates that the robot can move only in four directions (up, down, left, right), whereas True indicates that the robot can move in all directions (up, down, left, right, up-left, up-right, down-left, down-right). The program should provide the following output as a tuple with two elements: 1. A boolean value indicates whether the endpoint is reachable from the starting point (True if reachable, False if unreachable). 2. A list representing the navigation plan that the robot should follow successively to traverse the maze. This list should contain a sequence of coordinates representing the path from the starting point to the endpoint, considering the shortest possible route. Note: Your program should work for a maze of any size and any start and end coordinates within maze. Well test your programs output on a random maze configuration
