Business plan for BEC to raise money
WHAT IS TABEC?
What is TABEC?
TABEC ( Tutors-teaching Assistants of Business and English Club):
is a group directly under BEC (Business and English club), which is
responsible for providing tutorial jobs for not only BEC-ers but
also other students of Foreign Trade University, as well as other
universities.
TABEC’S PURPOSES
Why should we set up TABEC?
1. The cost of establishing TABEC is quite small
We can use our club’s website, business channel, fan page on
Facebook as a way of advertising campaign for TABEC, due to some
problems of our website, so recovering it may cost an amount of
money, as far as we are concerned, it’s quite small (<1 million VND).
Besides, designing and printing TABEC’s handbook for students and
customers may cost some money (<=1 million VND).
2. Gaining profit
-At first TABEC can help BEC-ers have part-time jobs with quite high
salaries, changeable timetable, suitable ability then we can recruit
and interview other students (out of BEC) and gain some fees ( just
5% of the first salary for BEC-ers and 10%-15% for other students)
-We can use our website and TABEC to popularize some English
centers, as well as soft-skill training centers related to business (e.g.
marketing, sales, skills in negotiating and persuading) and certainly
gain some fees. Besides, we can give some information related to
their recruitment of new teaching assistants to our tutors.
3. Fame
The foundation of TABEC can make BEC become more popular
between students from FTU and other universities, and increase
our fan page’s likes and followings on facebook. Besides, we can
associate with other tutorial groups of other schools in order to
share more information about tutorial jobs.
VALUE
What makes our TABEC different from other tutorial groups.
As to Students:
• TABEC will give you the suitable job for your ability and especially
your schedule, besides earning some money for your daily life, you
can have free time to participate in activities in your school and
your study will be not affected much.
• TABEC requires the smallest cost in comparison with other
groups, namely in some tutorial centers, you can be asked to give
the fee coming up to 30%-40% of your first salary, but with regard
to TABEC, you just give 10%-15% and if you are in poor condition,
we can consider and collect just 10% of your first salary while
other centers will say “no”.
As to students:
• TABEC and the tutor will sign in a contract in order to ensure each
side’s interests and responsibilities as well, but it doesn’t mean that
when TABEC offers you the class, our contract duration will end,
TABEC will always stand by you, in case you aren’t paid the salary or
your class is not guaranteed (other tutorial centers don’t give you this
interest)
• You can become BEC and TABEC’s collaborators, and have the
opportunity to attend some our projects.
• In comparison with other tutorial centers, we provide you a class
with a higher salary, deserving of your effort and knowledge.
As to Customers
• TABEC recruits brilliant tutors with clear curriculum vitae and a high
qualification.
• TABEC always keeps a close-knit relationship among you, tutors and
TABEC.
• TABEC is always willing to consulting with you about your children’s
standard and giving some useful advices.
• If there is any problem, we can play an intermediary role to help you
solve it, contacting and exchanging views with your tutor if necessary.
As to BEC and BEC-ers
• TABEC helps BEC to become more popular among not only
FTU’s students but also other universities’ students.
• BEC can earn a regular amount of money from TABEC
(just with a low initial cost).
• BEC can keep contact with other English centers (our
partners) and find out other potential partners.
• TABEC can provide collaborators for BEC’s projects,
maybe external events or voluntary events in the future.
As to BEC and BEC-ers
• The opportunity for BECers to make a good use of their English
skills in real life.
• The chance to put BEC website into use again with a more active
and effective level.
• A good move in the long term for BEC to expand to other
universities.
• Low cost.
• A part-time job with a certain amount of income for any participant
and BECer.

on BEC’s website and business channel.

popularizing TABEC at English centers, FTU and other universities
MARKETING PLAN
Marketing plan
Viral Stage (starts one week before the project):
• BEC Fan page updates relevant posts to attract certain attention from
page’s followers.
• Club members help like and share posts as many times as possible.
Official Stage :
- Online:
• Club members change their Facebook avatars into TABEC’s logo.
• BEC Fan page posts a note with specific information about the group
• Marketing team tries to contact other universities’ forums to have a post
on the project if possible.
• Mass number of marketing emails sent to students in club’s database.
• We post and share a video clip in which random FTUers are asked about
their ambition to have a part-time job as a teacher and whether they have
any one or organization to help them with their will yet.
Marketing plan
- Offline:
• Leaflets and handbooks in English are handed to FTUers and English centers.
• Leaflets and handbooks in Vietnamese are handed in a mass number to parents, students from other
universities and other potential customers.
• Class talks with the prepared video clip and powerpoint about the TABEC Group.

Game 1: “Fire in the hole” – Fire zodiac signs.
-There are fewer chairs than people, so BECers will have to compete
for the chairs.
-When the music is playing, BECers go around in circle.
-When the music stops, BECers find their chairs and sit down,
whoever still stands up will lose the game and get punished.
This game is to prove that Fire element. (Aries, Sagitarius and Leo)
are very active and competitive.
After the games, some representatives from Team Fire will share
some weak points of their own and how to work best with them.

Some information about Zodiac signs:
-Brief introduction about each sign’s strengths (and weaknesses)
-Some quiz about horoscope for fun.

18:25-18:40

Game 2: “Hot seats”
Two teams/round.

In this game, the participants are split up into two teams. One member from each team
sits facing the group.
The leader holds up a word for all of the team members to see except for the two players
in the hot seats.
The teams must try to get the person in the hot seat to guess the word or phrase. The
first person to guess correctly gets to stand up and a new member from their team takes
the hot seat. The person on the other team has to remain in the hot seat until she gets an
answer first.
The game is to demonstrate the ability of expressing themselves through words of the
Air Element.

-You look at what the picture presents and try to locate the needed
image, using your imagination (ex: there are 2 people, a woman and a
girl in the same pic, but in a different angle)

IV. Marketing plan
•

Have all BEC members do a small survey on their free time and favourable venue for an internal event (using google
docs).

•

Send emails to the whole club introducing the event and also getting them to fill in a spreadsheet with their names
and zodiac ( Aquarius, Scorpio, Virgo,…).

•

Post to BEC Group on FB an introduction of the event along with an attractive poster and ask them to confirm their
attendance.
V. Human Resource Plan
-A team consisting of 5 members is responsible for organizing this event. Then this team will choose a leader.

-1 member becomes MC.
-1 member checks list and receives drink orders from attendees.
-2 members become supervisors.
-1 member writes MC Script and has a role of technical support.
