This document summarizes a study that explored using humorous English texts in a reading and translation course for English majors at Mu'tah University in Jordan. A questionnaire was administered to 60 English majors to understand the benefits of incorporating humorous texts. The results showed positive outcomes for students, including increased involvement in class activities and interest in reading and translating these types of texts. The document recommends that English instructors make better use of humorous linguistic and cultural inputs in their courses.
