Swami Vivekananda makes several points about improving India and serving others. He says that India has done much for human progress and should continue improving. All wealth cannot help villages unless people learn self-sufficiency, so education is key. He urges Indians to have faith in themselves and their ability to accomplish great things. True religion is demonstrated through practical help for widows, orphans, and the poor rather than just theories. Serving all people, even the diseased or poor, is how to find God and achieve salvation. Indians must unite with faith and prayer to help the millions living in poverty and ignorance.

Why Humans Don't Manifest Perfection Like They Naturally Should and as All Na...Simona Rich
God-in-action, the Creator, gives us the impulse to keep progressing so that It would manifest ever more perfectly through us.
But most people misinterpret these impulses because their awareness is focused on the lowest chakras.
Being filtered through these chakras of selfishness, Divine impulses become distorted, sometimes to...

You Can Have Self-Confidence - If You Can Count to FourRobert C. Worstell
I am wondering if you would like to have more self-confidence, and would like to get rid of all your feelings of inferiority? Well, that is exactly what is going to happen, provided you are sincerely interested and will follow a few suggestions.
It seems that most everyone has a degree of feeling of inferiority. So don't feel so exclusive about your complexes. You have lots of company. At the same time, most everyone feels very confident about certain things. Certain things, about which they have learned enough, so that they feel that they are an authority. All this proves that each of us has the capacity to feel confident as well as inferior. We feel confident when we understand the whole truth about something, and we feel inferior, when we do not know the whole truth.
Webster defines the word inferiority as a person experiencing a feeling in a lower state.
In other words, by feeling that somebody else is better than he is, he is comparing himself with this other person. This is not a fair comparison. No two persons are the same. The very word individual suggests that each one of us is different from every other person. We do not look the same as anyone else. We have a different shaped nose, face, head, body, and we have a different design as to what our life's purpose is.
We were designed to function as an individual. We are not to be compared with any other person, but we should appreciate our individual design and learn to be ourselves.
We should learn to express our own individuality well.
The one great Creator of the universe has infinite intelligence. Infinite intelligence means unlimited, incomprehensible, inexhaustible, wisdom, knowledge, and power.

Renewed in Grace
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

SOME STIRRING UTTERANCES OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA
As I look back upon the history of my country, I do not find in the whole world another country
which has done quite so much for the improvement of the human mind. Therefore I have no words
of condemnation of my nation. I tell, “You have done well; only try to do better.”
All the wealth in the world cannot help one little Indian village if the people are not taught to help
themselves. Our work should be mainly educational, both moral and intellectual.
“Wake up, stop not till the goal is reached”, say the Vedas. Up, up, the long night is passing, the day
is approaching, the wave has risen, nothing will be able to resist its tidal fury. The sprit, my boys, the
spirit; the love, my children, the love; the faith, the belief; and fear not! The greatest sin is fear.
Have faith that you are all, my brave lads, born to do great things! Let not the barks of puppies
frighten you—no, not even the thunderbolts of heaven—but stand up and work!
I do not believe in a God or religion which cannot wipe the widow’s tears or bring a piece of bread to
the orphan’s mouth. However sublime be the theories, however well-spun may be the philosophy—I
do not Call it religion so long as it is confined to books and dogmas. The eye is in the forehead and
not in the back. Move onward and carry into practices that which you are very proud to call your
religion, and god bless you!
Love never fails, my son; today or tomorrow or ages after, truth will conquer. Love shall win the
victory. Do you love your fellow men? Where should you go to seek for God—are not all poor, the
miserable, the weak, Gods? Why not worship them first? Why go to dig a well on the shores of the
Ganga? Believe in the omnipotent power of love. Who cares for these tinsel puffsof name? I never
keep watch of what the newspapers are saying. Have you love?—you are omnipotent. Are You
perfectly unselfish? If so, you are irresistible. It is character that pays everywhere. It is the Lord who
protects His children in the depths of the sea. Your country requires heroes; be heroes! God bless
you!
Look upon every man, woman, and every one as God. You cannot help anyone, you can only
serve: serve the children of the Lord, serve the Lord himself, if you have the privilege. If the Lord
grants that you can help any one of his children, blessed you are; do not think too much of
yourselves. Blessed you are that that privilege was given to you when others had it not. Do it only
as a worship. I should see God in the poor, and it is for my salvation that I go and worship them.
The poor and the miserable are for our salvation, so that we may serve the Lord, coming in the
shape of diseased, coming in the shape of the lunatic, the leper, and the sinner!
Him I call a Mahatman (great soul) whose heart bleeds for the poor, otherwise he is a Duratman
(wicked soul).Let us unite our wills in continued prayer for their good. We may die unknown,
unpitied, unbewailed, without accomplishing anything – but not one thought will be lost. It will take
effect, sooner or later.
2. YiT
So long as the millions live in hunger and ignorance, I hold every man a traitor who, having been
educated at their expense, pays not the least heed to them! I call those men who strut about in their
finery, having got all their money by grinding the poor, wretches, so long as they do not do anything
for those two hundred millions who are no better than hungry savages! We are poor; my brothers,
we are nobodies, but such have been always the instruments of the Most High. The Lord bless you
all.
Faith, faith, faith in ourselves, faith, faith in God—this is the secret of greatness. If you have faith in
all the three hundred and thirty millions of your mythological gods, and in all the gods which
foreigners have now and again introduced into your midst, and still have no faith in yourselves, there
is no salvation for you. Have faith in yourselves, and stand up on that faith and be strong; that is
what we need. Why is it that we three hundred and thirty millions of people have been ruled for the
one thousand years by any and every handful of foreigners who chose to walk over our prostrate
bodies? Because they had faith in themselves and we had not.
Know that every time you feel weak, you not only hurt yourself but also the Cause. Infinite faith and
strength are the only conditions of success.
Cultivate the Virtue of obedience, but you must not sacrifice your own faith. No centralisation is
possible unless there is obedience to superiors. No great work can be done without this
centralisation of individual forces….Give up jealousy and conceit. Learn to work unitedly for others.
This is the great need of our country.
Infinite patience, infinite purity, and infinite perseverance are the secret of success in good cause.
Are great things ever done smoothly? Time, patience, and indomitable will must show. I Could
have told you many things that would have made your heart leap, but I will not. I want iron wills and
hearts that do not know how to quake. Hold on.
I hate cowardice; I will have nothing to do with Cowards or political nonsense. I do not believe in any
politics. God and truth are the only politics in the world, everything else is trash.
Go on bravely. Do not expect success in a day or a year. Always hold on to the highest. Be steady.
Avoid jealousy and selfishness. Be obedient and eternally faithful to the cause of truth, humanity,
and your country, and you will move the world. Remember it is the person, the life, which is the
secret of power—nothing else….Jealousy is the bane of all slaves. It is the bane of our nation. Avoid
that always.
