What young India wants By Chetan Bhagat Mujeeb Rahman
Women in India face high levels of stress and discrimination, as they are often aborted, denied education, considered a burden, and victims of trafficking, torture, and killing. Powerful people in Indian society command respect solely due to their position and mistreat women, but will show respect to women if they attain power. Politics in India has become corrupt, as politicians prioritize money and power over good governance, and exploit social divisions for political gain. Many Indian youth today disrespect elders, engage in bad behavior, and waste their lives, in contrast to previous generations who placed high value on respect, manners, and self-improvement. There is a need to empower women, reduce corruption and social divisions, and encourage positive values in youth
The document discusses several social issues and questions surrounding them, including abortion, interracial couples, cars and status, celebrities, teenage pregnancy, jail, immigration, war, models and appearance, children's clothing, and clothing brands. It questions societal views and biases related to these topics, such as why abortion is more accepted than adoption, why interracial couples face discrimination, why people are judged by their cars, why celebrities' mistakes attract attention but common mistakes do not, and whether appearance should determine one's life opportunities and social acceptance.

Crime is increasing in modern society for several reasons: laws and punishments are not strict enough, which does not deter criminals; the homeless sometimes commit crimes to receive benefits of imprisonment like food and shelter; and teenagers are influenced by violent media and seek approval from peers. Additionally, inequality divides society into classes and some turn to crime to obtain money; gangs and groups provide a sense of belonging for those lacking family support and can enable criminal acts. Overall, stricter laws, social programs, parental involvement, community support, and addressing issues like poverty, drugs, and weapons are needed to curb rising crime rates.

1) Many children around the world, especially girls in developing countries, have their basic rights denied. They are forced into child labor, marriage, and do not have access to education.
2) Child laborers, especially those making carpets, live in invisible slavery with long work days under harsh conditions. They have no hope for a better future.
3) By raising awareness on social media, fundraising, and sponsoring girls' education, children and adults alike can help advocate for equal rights and an end to practices that deny children their childhood.
1) Over 250,000 girl children go missing in India every year due to factors like sex-selective abortion and female infanticide.
2) The document calls for empowering women and raising awareness that girls have equal rights and potential as boys if given opportunities in education, work, and freedom from discrimination.
3) For society to progress, girls must be treated with the same love, respect, and equality as boys, and issues like poverty, illiteracy, child labor, dowry system, and medical malpractices determining sex must be addressed.
The girl child faces discrimination in many parts of the world. She is often viewed as inferior to the male child and receives less access to education, healthcare, and other resources. Gender-based discrimination against girls manifests in various harmful forms such as sex-selective abortion, neglect, and lack of opportunities. While laws and policies have promoted greater equality, cultural attitudes still undermine female children in some societies. Overcoming deep-rooted discrimination requires ongoing efforts to change mindsets and ensure girls can realize their full potential.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

2. What are Human Rights? Human rights are rights existing in all human beings, whatever our nationality, place of residence, gender, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other status. We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. 2
3. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities are the things that we are supposed to do and the things that we must take action for. They are our duties! Some of our responsibilities are: learning our rights, educating ourselves, teaching others, our health, hygiene, housekeeping, safety, protecting ourselves and others. 3
4. THREATS TO HUMAN RIGHTS When people are forced to abandon their freedom we would call it a threat to human rights. Examples of some threats that occur around the world are: slavery, torture and discrimination. Discrimination is when people are treated unfairly/unjust through race, gender, colour, religion, nationality, language or any other status. Torture is when people are inflicted excruciating pain as a punishment or revenge to get a confession or information for cruelty. Slavery is when people suffer for food, clothing, but most importantly hard work. Slaves work hard for other people and get little in return. They suffer a lot and many of them can’t resist long. In other words they don’t have a lot of freedom. 4
5. Child Slaves in South Asia Many children in Asia are kidnapped or trapped in servitude, where they work in factories and workshops for no pay and receive constant beatings. The children live in a den or a squalid shed. Many are beaten with sticks and iron rods and not even allowed to see their parents. They are branded with red hot irons, burnt with cigarettes, starved, whipped, beaten while hanging upside down, chained up, abused in an intimate way, and kept locked in cupboards for days on end. THE SOCIETY IN ACTIONAs the governments and police forces in many countries are corrupt, the Society works to rescue these children by organizing and funding rescue missions to rescue these children from sweatshops and dens. 5
6. Quotes from children in South Asia One child, Shankar, described his experience as a child slave: “We were poked with burning cigarettes on the back and legs. If we cried for our mothers we were locked in a room without air or enough light. We were forced to work for 20 hours a day without pay. We were kept half fed and beaten up severely by our masters if we were found talking or laughing among ourselves. One night I jumped into the nearby River Ganges to kill myself to escape from this painful life. We were never allowed to go back to our parents, to our villages.” Another quote is: “I was beaten for even scratching my skin and my father was beaten when he came to see me. Ever since I started working, I haven’t been given either a wage or a single day off”. 6
7. Human rights in business Are there human rights and responsibilities in business? Businesses around the world should have the responsibility to respect, promote and to protect human rights. They should bring both opportunities for development not for violating human rights. For example in Africa, the mining and trading of diamonds had lead to severe fighting, dragged economic growth and contributed to persistent poverty. The government should enforce the legal way of trading and the right labor to the miners. Diamond mining in Africa 7
8. No Human Rights for school girls Is this happening in school? The government should take action to stop harassing and sexually assaulting school girls in school premises and on their way to school. For example: School girls are being harassed and raped by their teachers and class mates. The government should give a grave punishment to the offender. Couples in mainland China are only aloud to have one child. They prefer having a boy than a girl, which is why many girls are orphans and some girls are also killed. Also, many girls can’t go to school as many people think that boys should have better education than girls. For China, girls only work in the house but boys are considered to be more important as they do all the hard, muscle work and they continue the family name for many generations. 8
