BEAM held a successful Back to School event that served almost 800 children from low-income families in the Jacksonville area. The event provided backpacks, school supplies, clothing, shoes and other necessities. It would not have been possible without the support of over 200 volunteers and local organizations that donated food, drinks and supplies. Volunteers remarked that the gratitude and smiles of the families and children made the event rewarding. BEAM continues to help families in need through food assistance, educational programs and other services throughout the year.

Over 100 people attended the pool party. The events aimed to give families stationed at the Combat Center activities and supplies to help kids start the school year.

The Crosscutters hosted many community events in 2014 that raised money for local charities, including a hot stove dinner and auction for Special Olympics that raised over $5,000, a 5k run for a children's center that raised over $7,000, and military appreciation and Irish heritage nights that raised funds through jersey auctions. The Crosscutters also held food and clothing drives that collected hundreds of pounds of donations, highlighted local charities through "Charitable Tuesdays" at games, and partnered with businesses on a home run fundraising team that raised over $6,600 for the United Way.

2011 Back-to-School Supply Project
The First Reformed Church Vacation Bible School collected 390 pounds of school supplies for the Kaye Prox Food Bank, with pastors and participants getting pies thrown in their faces for every 125 pounds collected. The altar server coordinator at Incarnation Catholic Church had his student altar servers collect and organize enough school supplies to fill 17 backpacks and over two dozen grocery bags for the food bank during their retreat. Last year the food bank provided school supplies for over 120 students but only about a dozen backpacks, but this year they were able to give over 130 students fully stuffed backpacks, including 50 backpacks donated by the Glazer Family Foundation through their Buc-Packs program.

April 2022 Dominican Starfish Foundation Update

With donations, they hired an assistant director to help with education programs. They are 80% funded for Dominga's new home and the Pimenter family home is nearing completion. Hudson Community Food Pantry - 25 years
- 11. Greater Boston Food Bank provides HCFP access to no- cost or low-cost food. The truck arrives the 4th Thursday of the month.
- 12. The students, faculty and staff of Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School come each month to unload the GBFB truck and stock our shelves.
- 16. The 2nd Saturday in May is Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. This year they delivered over 8,600 pounds of food to HCFP!
- 19. Representative Kate Hogan visits with HCFP’s Tuesday volunteers
- 20. Scouting for Food takes place in November, on two consecutive weekends. On the first weekend, Scouts distribute bags and/or door hangers to let their neighbors know about the drive. On the second, Scouts revisit those houses to pick up bags of nonperishable items.
- 24. HCFP has been the beneficiary of a few Eagle Scout Projects. Projects included painting our floors and building food donation boxes. Currently a project is underway to build new benches
- 26. At HCFP we never know what donations are coming through our door! And we love the smiles as much as we love the donations!

- 37. Each year Kindergarten children and their teachers visit HCFP. As Junior Detectives, they search our shelves for much needed items. Then they return with their donations to stock our shelves!
- 42. Our neighbors at Intel sponsor what we refer to as the Kids Green Bags of Summer. Intel’s employees fill these bags with lots of goodies for our youngest clients.
- 44. In addition to the Kids Bags, Intel employees come and volunteer at HCFP by stocking shelves and assisting with much needed project work!
- 47. At Thanksgiving, our friends at St. Vincent de Paul help with the over 150 boxes we prepare for our clients
- 48. Cub Scouts help pack the Thanksgiving boxes!
- 50. THE BOOK FAIRY PANTRY PROJECT’S MISSION: To put children’s books in the hands of all parents so there will be...No Child With No Books.
