ABOUT THIS JOB
Works primarily within the Product Development and Management (PDM) process as the HSE technical contact with, design, sustaining, or R&D engineering.
Conducts HSE assessments for projects within the product development system. Identifies HSE risks across the life cycle of the product or service throughout the
manufacturing, operations, assembly, maintenance and overhaul, and obsolescence. Works with design engineering to mitigate HSE risk as part of conceptual
and detailed design reviews. Coordinates and develops HSE technical content to be included as part of standard operating procedures and technical training.
Periodically conducts site visits during prototype and field testing to perform assessments for new products and services. Analyzes and interprets scientific and
technical journals, financial reports and regulatory documents. Develops procedures based on regulatory and/or client requirements. May presents information and
respond to questions or concerns from employees, managers, clients and the general public. Handles or leads special projects, as assigned
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Thorough understanding of regulations and the regulatory process.
Excellent analytical skills and intermediate technical skills.
Knowledge of Fundamental Design Engineering Principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication and technical writing skills.
Detailed risk analysis skills (FMEA, Bow Tie, Fault Tree, Causal Analysis, etc.).
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
Basic project management skills.
Ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently.
Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong customer focus.
Exposure to systems engineering processes and tools.
Some hands on experience of oilfield operations is preferred.
Knowledge of down hole drilling and evaluation technologies are a plus but not required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
BS degree required in related sciences and 5+ years’ experience or Associates degree and 7+ years’ experience.
BS in Chemical Engineering or Technical Degree preferred.
Recognized certification (CSP) required for Associate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Recognized Industrial Hygiene certification preferred
Project experience is a great plus
