The incident took place around 05:10 p.m. outside the project near Sadiyaat Bridge where number of busses (06 No’s) collided with each other resulted in damages to the vehicles (broken front glasses and bumpers). Fortunately no one injured in these busses. Police was called on and the road was cleared for public traffic. Facts: 1. The drivers over speeding and over taking each other 2. Number of busses leaving the site at one time 3. Safe distance not maintained between the busses Probable Root Causes: • Poor perception of the risk by drivers • Underestimating the consequences of over speeding • Violating the company Safe driving policy Lessons Learned: • All the drivers or operators must undergo a comprehensive orientation training to comply with company safe driving policy and traffic regulations • Speed control devices should be placed in the busses to restrict the drivers not to over speed • Transport officers shall monitor over speeding and reckless driving and record accordingly
