HRM Application Paper
Length: Paper: 5 - 6 double-spaced pages
Due: Week 8 by Wednesday Midnight
Value: 200 Points for 20% of the grade
Post: Week 8 Assignments
Prepare and submit through Turnitin, a 5 – 6 page paper that
identifies and discusses how you will apply
human resource management concepts studied during HRCU
600 by discussing three (3) insights gained
into effective people management. The paper should be specific;
your grade will be determined on how
well you demonstrate understanding of the effective human
resource management concepts and
practices, your assessment of how their application can enhance
your professional effectiveness, and
your action plan to apply them in the real world. While the
paper should focus on your personal learning,
insights and real world application, it must be based on course
concepts and supported by 3 or more
reliable sources.
HRM Application Paper Guidelines
In preparing your paper, reflect and respond to the following:
• What were the three most valuable insights gained into
effective people management practices
during HRCU 600, and how does each insight relate to effective
human resource management?
Using your text and/or other expert sources, define, describe
and connect the insights gained and
effective HRM.
• Why are the three insights gained into effective people
management valuable in enhancing your
effectiveness as a manager and leader? How has your behavior
and/or thinking changed to integrate
your learning?
• What specific action(s) will you take to apply each insight
gained to enhance your effectiveness as a
manager and leader?

HRM Application Paper Length: Paper: 5 - 6 double-spaced pages Due: Week 8 by Wednesday Midnight Value: 200 Points for 20% of the grade Post: Week 8 Assignments Prepare and submit through Turnitin, a 5 – 6 page paper that identifies and discusses how you will apply human resource management concepts studied during HRCU 600 by discussing three (3) insights gained into effective people management. The paper should be specific; your grade will be determined on how well you demonstrate understanding of the effective human resource management concepts and practices, your assessment of how their application can enhance your professional effectiveness, and your action plan to apply them in the real world. While the paper should focus on your personal learning, insights and real world application, it must be based on course concepts and supported by 3 or more reliable sources. HRM Application Paper Guidelines In preparing your paper, reflect and respond to the following: • What were the three most valuable insights gained into effective people management practices during HRCU 600, and how does each insight relate to effective human resource management? Using your text and/or other expert sources, define, describe and connect the insights gained and
  • 2. effective HRM. • Why are the three insights gained into effective people management valuable in enhancing your effectiveness as a manager and leader? How has your behavior and/or thinking changed to integrate your learning? • What specific action(s) will you take to apply each insight gained to enhance your effectiveness as a manager and leader? Evaluation Criteria for HRM Application Paper Paper Elements Exemplary Proficient Developing Emerging Insights Gained 40 - 36 Clearly and concisely defines and describes 3 significant insights into effective people management directly connecting the importance of all 3 to HRM
  • 3. 35 - 31 Fairly clearly defines and describes 3 fairly significant insights into effective people management connecting their importance to HRM 30 - 26 Partially defines and describes 2 - 3 insights although may not be relevant or substantial. Connects the importance 2 – 3 somewhat to HRM 25 - 0 Limited if any identification of insights gained in people management. Insights if defined may not be connected to HRM. Learning Assessment 40 - 36 Clearly and concisely describes value of course concepts and 3 insights gained into
