many options you have after completing SPM before pursuing a
degree at university. In short: STPM takes on 18 months, holistic
& pre - U studies.
Holistics approach: leadership, critical thinking and
communication skills, are emphasised in the new curriculum.
3. Cost of Studies (Pre-U vs Foundation Studies)
Cost: The entire STPM studies cost you around RM 1,000.00
while RM 7,000.00 - RM 12,000.00 for private universities
foundation studies. Eventually, both studies will lead you to
universities. STPM @ Public University while foundation studies
@ Private University.
Time: Completion of STPM @ 18 months and results will be out
by March and intake on Sept. Students are advisable to go for
soft skills courses or work experience rather that be at HOME
for time wastage.
4. How is STPM being assess?
1.Under this new format, you will be assessed based on:
School-based assessment (*weightage of 20 – 40% of the final
score)
Centralised examination (*weightage of 60 – 80% of the final
