How To Wave
Goodbye to Your
    Boss…
  …and say HELLO to your
 life on your own terms!!!
WHY LEAVE?

• Are you unhappy    • Are you self-
  at work?             motivated?
• Have you been      • Are you very
  made empty           confident?
  promises?          • Are you really
• Are you making       skilled at

• If you have at least 6 months’ savings,
  chances are, you can afford to take
  the leap of faith
• Don’t count on cashing in too quickly
  on shares, premiums and the like, as
  red tape is either really thick, or
  scissors are really dull!
• If you don’t have dependents, your
  leap is easier
• If you do have dependents, think at
SPACE and CONVENIENCE
• If you currently have a secretary,
  be prepared to do without one for
  a while (unless you have loads of
  cash)
• Ensure that you acquaint yourself
  with some organisational skills –
  use a calendar, at least!
• Prepare a work station. This can be
  a room or part of a room with a
  desk, stationery,
  foghorn…whatever you need to

    PROMOTION              you advertise on

   LOGO
                           money to promote your
   STATIONERY
   ASSISTANT
                           business weekly
   WEBSITE              - A name and tagline. Be
   CELL PHONE             creative!
   COMPUTER REPAIRS
   CLIENT GIFTS         - Cost of operations. No one
                           is saying to do an MBA
                           thesis, but identify your
WORK SMARTER than
           HARDER!
• Remember the 80-20 rule: 80
  percent of your results should
  come from 20 percent of your
  efforts!
• Prioritize: can the printing of
  bumper stickers wait? Don’t become
  over-excited and spend too much
  too soon.
• Do what you love. You didn’t quit
  your job to become frustrated.
UPDATE YOUR LISTS
• Each month, you should:
                Update your client
                 list
                Update your
                 income/revenue
                Update your
                 expenditure
                Update your savings
                Update your goals
                Update the status of
                 your project(s)
MAKE A START!

If you want to quit your job, you can
do it today!

Have a plan…but if you don’t have a
plan, have faith IN YOURSELF!!!
