Determine the key components to help you start your own program tailored to your office needs Student leaders play an important role in the recruitment and transition process of international students. At IUPUI student leaders do this through two programs: International Ambassadors (IEM) provide the student perspective to prospects and International Peer Mentors (ISSS) guide students through key transitional periods in their cultural and educational adjustment. In this session we discuss our strategies for recruitment, training, development, and retention. We also share key components to help you create your own program, important questions to ask yourself and your colleagues, suggestions for how to get the most out of your student leaders, and more!
