Keep an eye out for the exam schedule, which will be published on
Blackboard no later than three weekdays before the first exam date
Exam Aids
In the course description, you can see if you are allowed to bring additional
assistive aids to the preparation.
Be on time
It is important that you adhere to the appointed time of meeting which you
find on the exam schedule:
On the day of examination, there may be changes in the order of exams if
some students do not show up for their exams; hence your exam will be
moved forward.

Eduroam og Exam Monitor
Test your IT equipment in good time before the exam.
Make sure that you can access the wireless network Eduroam.
During written exams the program Exam Monitor most be on at all times.
Make sure Exam Monitor functions on your PC (sdu.exammonitor.dk) before the exam.
Any technical questions may be directed to your local IT unit.
Examination aids
In the course description, you can read about which aids you are allowed to use, and whether use of the internet
is allowed during the exam.
Be on time. One hour before the exam
Show up one hour before the exam begins to set up your computer for the exam.
The doors to the room close 30 minutes before the exam begins. At this point, you should be sitting in your seat,
ready to receive information about the exam.
If you show up later than 30 minutes before the exam begins, you will not get access to the exam room.
Then you cannot attend the exam, and you will have used an examination attempt.
Bring your student card
IT Equipment
You are responsible for your own IT equipment.
Remember your power supply and an extension cord.
You may only bring one computer for the exam.
Tablets are not allowed as Exam Monitor can not run on them.
No headphones - You are not allowed to use audio on the computer or use headphones.
You may want to bring earplugs if you want to block out any disturbances from the exam room.

Before the exam
Make sure you are signed up for the correct course on Blackboard.
From one hour before the start of the exam, you can see the link to the
assignment in SDU Assignment.
Submitting in SDU Assignments
Your exam paper must be submitted in SDU Assignment on the BlackBoard
site for the course. The paper must be submitted by the expiry of the
examination duration, at the latest.
Only one file can be submitted, unless otherwise stated.
You can only submit your paper once.
Your paper must be submitted in PDF format.
In SDU Assignment you can see if you need to write your examination
number or date of birth on your paper.
If there are any problems submitting in SDU Assignment, you must contact
your usual study administrative unit (The Student Information Point/Study
Service)

4. Illness and exam

If you are prevented from attending an exam due to illness, you can cancel the
examination with documentation.
If you get ill before an exam
You must immediately seek medical advice and no later than on the exam date
Send the Certificate via SPOC to Registration and Legality
You must request a medical certificate for the disease (self-payment)
If you get ill during the exam
You must seek a doctor immediately and on the same day (emergency time)
Oral exam: You must inform you that you are ill before the grade is given
Written exam: You must not submit anything for evaluation
Take-home: Immediately contact studentservice for clarification if the test is to be
interrupted or more time is required.
A medical certificate must contain
- what date / period you have been ill
- It is advisable that the diagnosis is stated in the certificate

If you do not pass
If you fail, are absent or report sick at the 1st examination attempt (ordinary
examination), it is your own responsibility to sign up for the 2nd examination
attempt (re-exam). Once you have signed up for the re-exam, you cannot
cancel the registration.
You must be aware that, in some cases, you must register for re-exam before
you know the results of the ordinary examination.
If you pass, you will automatically unsubscribe from the re-exam.
Re-exam may be different
The re-exam can sometimes have a different exam form than the ordinary
exam. See your curriculum or ask your professor.
Examination appeals
It is not a good feeling to have participated in an exam where you feel that
the way in which the exam was conducted or the grading was not fair.
Sometimes it results in a need to file an appeal on the conduct of the exam
or the grade or both.

It may feel like the end of the
world if you do not pass the exam.
But it is not so.
Many students experience to fail
an exam during their studies, but
are doing well on the programme
anyway.
