Every marketer wants to create a successful business.
In this post I am going to share five tips on how to
succeed in network marketing.
There is a secret that marketers need to learn and it is
posture in their marketing.
Create a definite marketing plan that will make your
business a success.
Check out these network marketing tips on how to
succeed in network marketing.
How to succeed in network marketing
Tip# 1: Mind-set
Mind-set is so important to your success as a marketer.
Let go of your past, don’t let your past stand in your way.
Tell yourself that your future doesn’t depend on your past
Instead of allowing yourself to focus on your past focus on the
future you visualise for yourself.
Visualise your success. Create your vision for your life and
create a vision board.
See yourself as successful. Create a success video in your
mind. See your life as a movie with a great ending.
Prospect from the future not the past or present.
Prospect from a success posture.
When you have a success mind-set your posture will reflect this.
Copy how top leaders think.
Follow top leaders and do what they do, and you will begin to
think like they do.
When you have a positive mind-set you will be focussed on
success and you will want to avoid negativity.
Focus on the important aspects of the lifestyle you visualise and
are creating for yourself and discard what is unimportant
How to succeed in network marketing
Tip# 2: Building your list
Many network marketers burn through their warm market
very quickly and wonder how to build a cold market list
List building and cold market tips
Have a quick direct approach.
“ I am working with a company that is expanding in this
area and I am looking for people who want to earn extra
$200-$500 a month that won’t interfere with their current job
do you know anyone?’
This is a great way to get referrals and also gain interest
from the person you approach.
Their thought might be ‘What is this? I might be interested.
This is what you would like but this approach is more subtle.
Build your relationships and don’t do what a lot of new
marketers do.
They see every person as someone they need to sign up in
their business. This is not the case, everyone is not your
prospect.
Focus on building relationships with people you see regularly
e.g. at the gym.
Here is a 3 step formula for relationship building
1) Spend time with people you would like in your business,
but don’t talk about your business. Develop and build the
friendship.
2) Enjoy your times together and eventually the conversation
will move to what you do. You don’t give a presentation yet,
instead you share in general conversation what you do.
3) Once you have built a good relationship and your friend is
interested in what you do, you can arrange to meet and share
your presentation.
Even if they don’t join, you still have a friendship and they
may join at a later date when the time is right for them.
How to succeed in network marketing
Tip# 3: Recruiting
There is an art to network marketing recruiting.
Here are 5 Deadly mistakes that many network marketers
make.
1 Approach list with goal to sponsor everyone (don’t be
addicted to the outcome)
2 Only talk to close friends and family
3 Prejudge prospects, only talk to those who you think will
be interested
4 Too eager to sell the business opportunity. Come across
as a salesperson.
Talk too much. (Don’t be a salesperson. Remember you are
a networker!)
5 Approach every prospect the same way
An astute marketer will share testimonials, and create
curiosity so their prospect is eager to learn more.
There are 3 types of prospects
The first type are successful people. These are people who
are already involved in business, managers, doctors or
lawyers to name a few examples.
The second type are your peers, family and friends. These
are the people you approach and ask them to do you a
favour e.g. who they know as a referral or would they
watch a video and give their opinion
The third type of people are those you have influence over.
These are people who look up to you.
When prospecting always create curiosity.
The more you talk the more you have lost. Too much talk
sounds like a salesperson.
If your prospects see you as a salesperson they will think
they have to be a salesperson.
If they don’t see themselves as salesperson they will
immediately be put off the concept of network marketing.
Your prospect will think they have to do what you are
doing.
Talk less to more people don’t convince –share and keep it
simple
Another approach is the product approach
I market a product to people who want to ……… do you know
anyone that would ……..
Get referrals
Here is a tip you could use to get your prospect to join your
team.
After you get a referral ask if the referrer if they would like
the commission or are they ok for you to have it.
This can get their interest to join your team.
How to succeed in network marketing
Tip#4: Training and Duplication
Make sure your new team member doesn’t feel overwhelm.
Begin their training by encouraging them to focus on one or
two simple tasks that will gain momentum in their business.
Start with the basics, as learning in stages is the best way
to maintain their enthusiasm.
Teach them to invite people to meetings or to watch a video
presentation
Keep training simple, if they are motivated they will want to
work things out for themselves as their desire to grow their
business increases.
Encourage them to have a success mind-set.
A great attitude = success
The keys to successful training are:
Use stories
Don’t overwhelm your new team members. Develop their training
programme in small steps
Group role play training can be a useful tool
Work with people who deserve your time not need your time.
How to succeed in network marketing
Tip#5: Leadership
As a leader it is important that you lead by example.
Never be critical, or complain.
Have what successful leaders call the royal approach!
Inspire your team by doing what you want them to do.
Take responsibility for the growth of your team.
There are three essentials for fast growth teams
• A well-defined getting started process
• A simple daily method of operation (DMO)
• A culture of self-development
These three steps will create a winning team culture.
A strong leader has a vision. You can never over train your
team on mind-set.
The way to achieve success more quickly in your network
marketing business, is to have a good coach and surround
yourself with positive people who will encourage and
inspire you.
Be a continual student, never stop learning as this is
crucial to your success.

  • 3. How to succeed in network marketing Tip# 1: Mind-set Mind-set is so important to your success as a marketer. Let go of your past, don’t let your past stand in your way. Tell yourself that your future doesn’t depend on your past Instead of allowing yourself to focus on your past focus on the future you visualise for yourself. Visualise your success. Create your vision for your life and create a vision board. See yourself as successful. Create a success video in your mind. See your life as a movie with a great ending.
  • 4. Prospect from the future not the past or present. Prospect from a success posture. When you have a success mind-set your posture will reflect this. Copy how top leaders think. Follow top leaders and do what they do, and you will begin to think like they do. When you have a positive mind-set you will be focussed on success and you will want to avoid negativity. Focus on the important aspects of the lifestyle you visualise and are creating for yourself and discard what is unimportant

How to succeed in network marketing Tip# 2: Building your list Many network marketers burn through their warm market very quickly and wonder how to build a cold market list List building and cold market tips Have a quick direct approach. “ I am working with a company that is expanding in this area and I am looking for people who want to earn extra $200-$500 a month that won’t interfere with their current job do you know anyone?’
  • 6. This is a great way to get referrals and also gain interest from the person you approach. Their thought might be ‘What is this? I might be interested. This is what you would like but this approach is more subtle. Build your relationships and don’t do what a lot of new marketers do. They see every person as someone they need to sign up in their business. This is not the case, everyone is not your prospect. Focus on building relationships with people you see regularly e.g. at the gym.
  • 7. Here is a 3 step formula for relationship building 1) Spend time with people you would like in your business, but don’t talk about your business. Develop and build the friendship. 2) Enjoy your times together and eventually the conversation will move to what you do. You don’t give a presentation yet, instead you share in general conversation what you do. 3) Once you have built a good relationship and your friend is interested in what you do, you can arrange to meet and share your presentation. Even if they don’t join, you still have a friendship and they may join at a later date when the time is right for them.

Here are 5 Deadly mistakes that many network marketers make. 1 Approach list with goal to sponsor everyone (don’t be addicted to the outcome) 2 Only talk to close friends and family 3 Prejudge prospects, only talk to those who you think will be interested
  • 9. 4 Too eager to sell the business opportunity. Come across as a salesperson. Talk too much. (Don’t be a salesperson. Remember you are a networker!) 5 Approach every prospect the same way An astute marketer will share testimonials, and create curiosity so their prospect is eager to learn more.
  • 10. There are 3 types of prospects The first type are successful people. These are people who are already involved in business, managers, doctors or lawyers to name a few examples. The second type are your peers, family and friends. These are the people you approach and ask them to do you a favour e.g. who they know as a referral or would they watch a video and give their opinion The third type of people are those you have influence over. These are people who look up to you.
  • 11. When prospecting always create curiosity. The more you talk the more you have lost. Too much talk sounds like a salesperson. If your prospects see you as a salesperson they will think they have to be a salesperson. If they don’t see themselves as salesperson they will immediately be put off the concept of network marketing. Your prospect will think they have to do what you are doing.
  • 12. Talk less to more people don’t convince –share and keep it simple Another approach is the product approach I market a product to people who want to ……… do you know anyone that would …….. Get referrals Here is a tip you could use to get your prospect to join your team. After you get a referral ask if the referrer if they would like the commission or are they ok for you to have it. This can get their interest to join your team.
  • 13. How to succeed in network marketing Tip#4: Training and Duplication Make sure your new team member doesn’t feel overwhelm. Begin their training by encouraging them to focus on one or two simple tasks that will gain momentum in their business. Start with the basics, as learning in stages is the best way to maintain their enthusiasm. Teach them to invite people to meetings or to watch a video presentation
  • 14. Keep training simple, if they are motivated they will want to work things out for themselves as their desire to grow their business increases. Encourage them to have a success mind-set. A great attitude = success The keys to successful training are: Use stories Don’t overwhelm your new team members. Develop their training programme in small steps Group role play training can be a useful tool Work with people who deserve your time not need your time.

Have what successful leaders call the royal approach! Inspire your team by doing what you want them to do. Take responsibility for the growth of your team.

There are three essentials for fast growth teams • A well-defined getting started process • A simple daily method of operation (DMO) • A culture of self-development These three steps will create a winning team culture. A strong leader has a vision. You can never over train your team on mind-set.
