A WORKOUT PLAN
Col(Retired) Reese Turner, a former US Army
master fitness certified professional trainer, a
coach and motivator at F45, a certified spin
instructor at Cyclebar, and the Director of Wellnes
at Vyfy in Kentucky, has extensive experience in
helping people develop ways in order to stick to a
workout plan. He understands that starting small,
remaining consistent, and possessing the right
attitude and mindset are essential.
While starting a workout or wellness program may seem simple,
research suggests maintaining adherence and continued
participation can be difficult. Lack of motivation, setting unrealistic
goals, and busy schedules are among the few factors that can
demotivate and overwhelm individuals. However, some tips can help
them stay committed.
Beginners often overlook the significance of
starting small, gradual workouts to maintain
consistency. The body needs time to adapt to
new exercise routines, and diving into
intense workouts from day one can have
adverse effects, like soreness and injury,
causing one to lose motivation. If the aim is
to run 10 miles daily, starting with a mile a
day and gradually increasing as the body
adjusts can be more effective.
While starting a workout or wellness program may seem simple,
research suggests maintaining adherence and continued
participation can be difficult. Lack of motivation, setting unrealistic
goals, and busy schedules are among the few factors that can
demotivate and overwhelm individuals. However, some tips can help
them stay committed.
