My real ninja credentials:
 The city of Dayton, Ohio, learned that lesson the hard way
 in 1997, after it was sued by a man who’d been kicked out
 of a public commission meeting for wearing a ninja mask.
 An appeals court ruled in favor of the ninja, finding that his
 menacing attire was a protected form of speech this
 despite the fact that everyone knows ninjas don’t talk.

Why comments?

                @thenextwave
Why comments?
But every time we've had an explosive thread on Pet
Connection, for example, the commentary has deepened
and enriched the original post. It's given the bloggers an
opportunity to refine our arguments, to stretch the
parameters of our thinking, to change our readers' minds,
or even, perhaps most valuably, our own.

Why no comments?

                   @thenextwave
Why no comments?
For most sites, though, comments are worse than useless.
The anonymity of the Internet inspires hit-and-run attacks,
unintelligible ramblings, and truckloads of spam. I believe
that comments are evil by default, and the sites above that
seem to have healthy communities are blessed flukes.

I was an acquisitions librarian in Pennsylvania and wrote a
monthy review column of recommended reads. I found I
liked reviewing and went on to freelance after my son was
born. I have 2 dogs, a cairn and a pom, and four cats. Oh, I
have a 21 year old son and a husband who wants to but is
nowhere near retiring. I am a speed reader( a gift I was
born with) and read two books a day.
