There are 3 different types of Food License
• Basic License
If a particular business expects its annual turnover till 12 lakh rupees then they need
to apply for Basic FSSAI license. Example - Retailers, Marketers, Transporters ,
Hawkers etc.
• State License
State FSSAI license is required when the annual turnover is more than 12 lakh to 20
crore. Example - Manufacturers, Distributors, Food shops etc.
• Central License
Central FSSAI license is required if the Annual license
is expected more than 20 crore. Example - 5- star hotel, 3- star hotels
