We want to be
 gracious people.
  Why - because
“Grace isn't a little
 prayer you chant
before receiving a
meal. It's a way to
 live.” (unknown)
Let’s be clear – this
     is not about
  learning to walk
with a book on you
head -that’s good
  posture but not
    necessary for
 spiritual principle.
    But Grace is…
We are imitators of Christ in
our manner and way - Are we
gracious? Do gracious words
   come from our mouths?
The desire for gracious words
only, to be spoken by us – is
    where the concept of
    profanity comes from.
 The words we speak should
    be life giving and kind.
  Nothing that profanes our
  soul – that makes another
 smaller, that piles negativity
  onto the world should be
         spoken by us.
That’s a Tall order
  and not one to be
 taken lightly – so If
by 10 am tomorrow
 morning you have
  already uttered a
  curse, gossip, and
    barked at your
   kids, spouse or a
complete stranger –
   relax - be full of
  grace, so that you
James Ryle has
suggested "Grace is the
 empowering Presence
of God enabling you to
  be who God created
you to be, and to do
  what God has called
       you to do."
Do you know what that
 means? It means that
    you need not be
        ashamed.
So we often are not
  able to be gracious
    because we are
reacting to something
 about which we are
  ashamed. Our faith
   tells us – that no
 matter what - we are
     loved by God.
    Forgiven – in a
   perpetual state of
         grace.
“Give even an onion
graciously” Afghan Proverb.
You are who you are – offer
   what you can and don’t
     worry about the rest.
It’s what life is about folks.
If someone does something
 wrong, don’t forget all the
     things they did right.
  Forgive, them love them.
  God loves you, gives you
      grace. Do the same.
“To bear defeat with
   dignity, to accept
criticism with poise, to
 receive honors with
 humility -- these are
marks of maturity and
graciousness.” William
      Arthur Ward.
