The statistics are staggering concerning the amount of absentee fathers in the United States. This sermon examines what makes a great father. This is a great lesson to teach men how to move from being good fathers to great fathers.

It provides biblical references to support each step. Examples of salvation are provided from Acts. False doctrines like infant baptism are addressed, noting that baptism requires faith while infants do not have faith.

The document discusses 7 things that give Christians joy according to the book of Philippians: 1) The joy of an obedient Christian life, 2) The joy of ministry, 3) The joy of answered prayer, 4) The joy of discipleship, 5) The joy of gentleness, 6) The joy of belonging to God's family, and 7) The joy of contentment. Each of these sources of joy is explained in 1-2 sentences with references to relevant Bible passages. The overall message is that true joy comes from living in obedience to God, serving him through ministry, trusting in his answers to prayer, making disciples, demonstrating gentleness, being part of his global family, and being content in
This document discusses the story of Habakkuk from the Bible and how he questioned God during a difficult time in Judah when the nation was about to be destroyed. It emphasizes that the most difficult times in life can produce the greatest spiritual jewels, like Habakkuk's declaration that he would rejoice in God even if everything else was lost. The key message is that the level of trust in God indicates the depth of one's relationship with Him, and that one should choose to trust God unconditionally, even when facing adversity.

1) The document discusses three different mindsets - the Barbarian, Greek, and Hebrew mindsets.
2) The Barbarian mindset operates based on fear, the Greek mindset relies on human intellect and reason, while the Hebrew mindset trusts in God.
3) To develop a Hebrew mindset, the document recommends meditating on God's word daily and taking every thought captive to examine its source and alignment with scripture. Adopting a Hebrew mindset will lead to prosperity by learning to think as God thinks.
This document provides an overview of spiritual warfare according to Ephesians 6:12. It discusses that a Christian has three major enemies: the flesh, the world, and the devil and his demons. It defines spiritual warfare as battling against spirit forces, rather than human beings.
It describes the process by which the flesh can gain influence over a Christian through desires, strongholds, and idolatry. Examples of strongholds that can develop include resentment, materialism, and political victory. Winning the war against the flesh requires demolishing these strongholds.
The document also discusses how spirits of immorality, idolatry, and death influenced the lineage of Judah and Tamar, and how those same spirits
The document describes the key attributes of God as revealed in the Bible. It discusses God's independence (aseity), eternity, goodness by loving and tolerating humanity, holiness as being pure and undefiled, consistency (immutability), unlimited nature (infinity), establishment of justice, ability to do whatever He wills (omnipotence), presence everywhere (omnipresence), perfect knowledge of all things (omniscience), and supremacy over all creation (sovereignty). It concludes that God is the one and only deity worthy of worship, praise, and adoration due to His perfect and loving character.
The document discusses temptation and how Jesus overcame temptation. It provides examples of biblical figures who faced temptation, such as Abraham, Jacob, Joseph and Job. It describes Jesus being tempted by Satan in the wilderness and overcoming each temptation by quoting scripture. It explains that temptation shows we can defeat Satan with God's help and develops perseverance. People can react to temptation by giving in, struggling with it, or overcoming it through Christ. The document offers advice on dealing with temptation and falling into sin.
The document outlines the introduction and theme of Romans 1:1-17, noting that it was written by Paul to the saints in Rome while he was in Corinth between 55-59 AD, and that its overarching theme is that the gospel is God's power to save all who believe, both Jews and Gentiles. Key points covered include details on the author, recipients, place and date of writing, as well as an analysis of the themes and main ideas presented in Romans 1:1-17.
This document discusses spiritual warfare against fallen angels and working with God's holy angels. It begins by outlining the biblical rankings of different types of angels such as seraphim, cherubim, thrones, and principalities. It then explains that spiritual warfare involves fighting against the strategies of the devil and his fallen angels while also working with God's holy angels, who are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation. The document provides details on specific angels like Michael the archangel and Gabriel and describes what the seraphim and cherubim look like based on biblical passages. It emphasizes that angels are not to be worshipped as that is reserved for God alone.
The document discusses different ways that God communicates prophetically. It defines prophets as channels of communication between God and humans. There are two essential meanings of prophesying: telling forth messages from God and foretelling future events. God's messages come from Him alone and are transmitted through inspiration of the Holy Spirit or workings of the Spirit. People can receive messages from God through Scripture, His direct voice, dreams, visions, prophecy, tongues/interpretation, angels, and inspired thought. The counsel of others can also provide guidance.
This section of Spiritual Warfare outlines what the Bible teaches about Satan and evil spirits - their characteristics and powers. This Biblical background will help form the basis on which we shall become free from their influence.
This document discusses the meaning and importance of God's faithfulness. It begins by asking the reader if they are faithful to God, their family, others, their ministry, and church. It then provides several Bible verses demonstrating that God is faithful, including that He will not abandon His people. The document argues that God is faithful to maintain His glory, truthfulness, and reputation. It explains that God faithfully keeps His covenants and shows mercy to those who love and obey Him. In conclusion, it encourages readers to commit to being faithful in all things, with the promise that if they do, God will bless them as He promised He would bless the Israelites.
This document discusses the doctrine of sanctification. It defines sanctification as being set apart from sin and unto God. Sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit in making believers holy by implanting Christian graces and destroying sinful affections. It is not the same as moral virtue or religious practice alone, but is a supernatural, divine work that progressively makes one holy through faith in Christ, the Word, prayer, fellowship and other means. The signs of sanctification and a summons to pursue it are also outlined.
The document outlines God's plan of salvation according to scripture as involving five steps: 1) Hearing the word of God, 2) Believing in Jesus, 3) Repenting of sins, 4) Confessing faith in Jesus, and 5) Being baptized for the remission of sins. It emphasizes that while people have come up with many plans of salvation, there is only one plan given by God in the Bible. It encourages examining whether one has truly obeyed God's biblical plan of salvation or been deceived by human-made plans.

Men Must be Examples in the Society and HomeKIGUME Karuri
1) The consumption of illicit brew among young men in the country has raised concerns about their behavior and whether older men have set good examples. It is feared that without changes, a whole generation will be lost.
2) Men must set good examples in their lives and conduct for the younger generation to follow, such as how they parent, work hard, treat their families, speak, and respond to temptation.
3) Older men have a responsibility to be examples to the youth, through disciplining with care, imparting wisdom, and bringing up children in the nurture of God. Failing to do so could lead the children to regret not receiving guidance.
Marriage and fatherhood is a calling and a ministry. A husband and father is called by God to love, provide, care, guide, nurture and protect his family, as an expression of God, who is the ultimate Husband and Father. Discover the importance and what it takes to fulfill this call and ministry.
The cry from these young men is real. They try to really seek for identification. They are yearning to get their rights from a world of irresponsible fathers. They do certain things, not because they are right, but to try and fill up the emptiness that they have. I believe we can change the situation if all of us can take up our rightful roles in the families and society.
God has laid a very heavy responsibility on us fathers concerning parenting our children. There is no excuse that we cannot do what is expected of us. Fathers, be the parents
This document discusses biblical fathering and responsibilities towards children. It covers several passages from Ephesians chapter 6 regarding children obeying their parents, fathers bringing up children in discipline and instruction, and slaves obeying masters.
It then discusses how fathers can provoke children to anger through criticism over encouragement, physical/verbal violence, emotional absence, public humiliation, being no fun, and lack of repentance. Proper fathering involves modeling godliness through prayer, Scripture reading, integrating instruction, and creating a godly legacy. Single people are advised to only consider marrying someone willing to take responsibility as a good father.
The document discusses the important role of men in the home. It argues that men should (1) act as husband and father by leading the family, (2) love their spouse and children through example and care, and (3) lead family worship and Bible study. Additionally, the document states that men should (4) make major family decisions as head of the household and (5) take primary responsibility for disciplining children, with the mother's support. Working together according to their God-given roles, both men and women can build strong Christian homes with God's guidance and strength.

This document provides lessons for fathers on being godly examples for their children. It discusses how fathers have tremendous influence over their families and communities. Children often follow the path of their fathers, so it is important for fathers to consider the example they are setting. The document urges fathers to model qualities like obedience to God, faith, diligence, encouragement, prayer, Bible study, evangelism, church service, and reliance on the Holy Spirit so that their children will walk in godliness.

Message father's day - above & beyond - 06-19-16LifePointe Church
This is a special Father's Day message titled, "Above & Beyond Parenting". In this message Pastor Chuck Bernal talks about the importance of stepping up to be the very best parent that you can be. This message talks about practical ways to help raise children in God's way and prepare them to be fully devoted followers of Christ and productive adults. This message was delivered on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at LifePointe Church in Crowley, TX.
This document discusses principles of educating children and challenges that may arise. It provides examples of single parents in the Bible and encourages support for them. The goal of education is for children to become citizens of God's kingdom by impressing God's love on them. Parents should acknowledge God, love Him, treasure His word, and share Him with children. When children reject their parents' teachings, parents must remain united through prayer, love, and patience.
This document discusses Paul's teachings in Ephesians regarding submission within family and workplace relationships. He instructs children to obey their parents in the Lord, and fathers to raise their children in discipline and instruction of the Lord. He tells slaves to obey their masters with sincerity as to Christ, and masters to treat slaves the same way, as they all have the same master in heaven. The purpose is for Christians to submit to authority out of respect for God in their various relationships.
This document contains a sermon given on Mother's Day about honoring one's mother. The key points are:
1) God honors mothers and puts honoring one's mother on the same level as holiness and keeping the Sabbath. Mothers have great responsibility in raising children for God.
2) Children have a responsibility to honor their mothers both in their youth and old age according to God's commands. There are benefits to doing so such as having one's life go well and living long.
3) Jesus set the example of honoring his mother even while on the cross. The church also has a duty to honor older women as mothers.
The sermon exhorts children
Fathers Matter: Understanding the love of God the Father through the eyes of ...Stephen Palm
This Fathers' Day sermon explores some of the vital contributions that engaged Dads make to a child's life. We will focus on the Fatherhood of God and the way in which His Son, Jesus, experienced the love of His Father and expressed that love to us. We will also look at God's love for us and compare it with Islam, which never asserts that "God is love." This sermon also asserts that our conception of our earthly father can have a huge impact on our ability to relate to God the Father.
This document discusses principles for Christians who are single and waiting for marriage. It encourages singles to wait patiently for God to send their mate rather than pursuing relationships for selfish reasons. It warns against Satan's tricks that make singleness seem undesirable and outlines productive activities for singles like growing as believers, developing skills to be godly spouses, and observing other marriages. The document also contrasts unhealthy dating habits with biblical courtship and provides questions to guide finding a marriage-minded Christian partner.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

A special word to those who are raising children without a
spouse. Whether you are a single parent because of
divorce, being widowed or having a child out of wedlock,
remember God still works in the lives of all types of family
dynamics. Some single parents do a better job at raising
children than married couples with no focus. Children who
are in single parent situation need not to fret because God
loves them.
Therefore, this lesson is not designed to accuse or minimize
those who are single parents or discourage children in such
situations. Instead, it is designed to call men to excel at
fatherhood regardless of their current situation.
