Artifacts and Symbols of everyday life from KeralaAnand Nair
A random collection of pictures taken around Central Kerala (Kottayam, Pathanamthitta) documenting the leftovers of a bygone era. This project was done during the summer of 2003-04 as a student project.
The people are asking hard questions; unemployment is rising, lives and property are not safe, the roads are bad and getting worse, the standard of living is falling but the politicians have ran out of lies. What is going to happen?
CAG is happy to present the Cartoon book "Do you know?"!! The book aims to demystify and educate communities and general public on the administrative and environmental regulations and laws on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Process, with specific reference to Thermal Power Plants (TPPs). The people can learn while they read the comics with their family!
Evolution of Content & Digital Marketing in 2014Kevin Gibbons
How has digital marketing and content evolved? This presentation looks at what has changed over the last 12 months - from the #DigitalMarketingShow from November 2013 in London.
20 amazing examples of content marketing coming straight from Joe Pulizzi's book, Epic Content Marketing. Examples include John Deere, Google, Adobe, LEGO, Coca-Cola, Red Bull, Copyblogger, American Express and many more.

What is content strategy and what do content strategists do? Isn’t content strategy just copywriting? And why is content strategy so focused on people and systems?
In this presentation, we take a look at content strategy and learn how it can help you build and design better experiences and bring them to market. Content strategy, UX, and product design can work hand in hand to create delight while driving business growth. And when you’re doing it right, it’s hard to tell where content ends and design begins.
By focusing on the entire system and workflow from the beginning, you’ll create better content—which means a better experience for the people using your products or web site.
You’ll learn about:
● What content strategy is (and isn’t!)
● Why “content” means more than just words
● The 8 core components of content strategy
● The 5 key impacts of a strong content strategy

How to make a website: discover, define, design, develop, deploy. It’s a familiar framework for most of our project processes. Now along comes this content strategy thing. Sure, it sounds like a great idea, but how does it fit in with what we’re already doing? Walk through a a typical website project to find out how content strategy fits (and why it will make you so happy!)
You are dumb at the internet. You don't know what will go viral. We don't either. But we are slighter less dumber. So here's a bunch of stuff we learned that will help you be less dumb too.
The value of content marketing, compared to most traditional marketing, is its focus on generating results beyond the one-time transaction by creating lasting relationships.
That’s why it’s important to look past the funnel and at the function that your content serves for customers who are all on different journeys.
You need to create content that can reach customers who are looking for what you have to offer, whether they know it or not.
Spread the love across your funnel, as the following SlideShare begins to explain, to take your customers on a journey through the funnel of love.
In honor of Valentine's Day in February, this SlideShare explores love (and all that it entails) as a metaphor for the sales funnel. The long journey a customer takes up to purchase is kind of like the path one takes to meet their mate.
If you want your content marketing to take your business closer to its goals, it helps to have a game plan – a strategic selection of plays you can rely on to help you beat the competition and score points with your target audience. Each year, our Benchmarks, Budgets, and Trends research reveals which tactics marketers are currently using. And while it’s clear that certain platforms and plays are likely to cycle in and out of popularity over time, we’ve noticed an alarmingly consistent trend that seems to impact nearly all of them: Content marketers are experiencing a large gap between using a tactic and getting effective results from it. Our newest Playbook aims to help all content marketers better understand the value proposition of content marketing tactics and achieve greater success with their efforts.

Learn how Eloqua and JESS3 collaborated to combine content marketing with social media to improve business performance. Content includes: The Content Grid, The Social Media Playbook, The Future of Revenue Video and Grande Guide series. Case study prepared by Joe Chernov (Director of Content, Eloqua) and Leslie Bradshaw (President & COO of JESS3) in November 2010.
This JESS3-illustrated case derives 10 actionable Facebook marketing lessons from a BrandGlue / Eloqua collaboration that increased Eloqua's Fan community by 2,500%, Facebook-referred traffic by 150% and Fan engagement to 3x industry norms. Tips include: Create a landing tab with a single call to action - it can increase new Fan conversions by 73 percent; and avoid 3rd party publishing tools, which can reduce visibility by 61 percent. While the tips apply to all marketers, they are especially important for B2B marketers.
From Content to Customer explores the nexus between content marketing and demand generation. The presentation, created by Eloqua and JESS3, overlays content on top of the buyer's journey and looks at best practices in creation, distribution and measurement at each major stage in the funnel.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
