How is the Internet come about ? How was the World Wide Web ( WWW ) developed ?
Solution
It was in late 1960s the initial concepts of internet came into exostence, with ARPANET(
Advanced Research Projects Agency Networ), which was originally founded by US Department
of Defence. They introduced packet switching to communicate between systems over a single
network.Later on in 1970s the TCP/IP was got introduced, so the ARPANET adopted TCP/IP in
1983, and from there the network of network model came into existencce, which later known as
Internet.
WWW (World Wide Web) is an aspect of Internet, like email. Coomonly WWW is being
misinterpreted as the so called Internet. WWW is an information space in which one can locate
any kind of information through a URL(Uniform Resource Locator). It was in 1989, Tim
Berners-Lee invented the Web. He developed a web browser which he was an employee at
CERN in Switzerland. Lter on the commercial potential in web makes the growth of web in an
exponential paced manner.

  • 1. How is the Internet come about ? How was the World Wide Web ( WWW ) developed ? How is the Internet come about ? How was the World Wide Web ( WWW ) developed ? Solution It was in late 1960s the initial concepts of internet came into exostence, with ARPANET( Advanced Research Projects Agency Networ), which was originally founded by US Department of Defence. They introduced packet switching to communicate between systems over a single network.Later on in 1970s the TCP/IP was got introduced, so the ARPANET adopted TCP/IP in 1983, and from there the network of network model came into existencce, which later known as Internet. WWW (World Wide Web) is an aspect of Internet, like email. Coomonly WWW is being misinterpreted as the so called Internet. WWW is an information space in which one can locate any kind of information through a URL(Uniform Resource Locator). It was in 1989, Tim Berners-Lee invented the Web. He developed a web browser which he was an employee at CERN in Switzerland. Lter on the commercial potential in web makes the growth of web in an exponential paced manner.
