Cultural Change is one of the hardest things to crack within any organisation, let alone within IT. IT is fast paced - moving responsively to the business, technological and even public requirements. However, a required cultural shift from within is rarely successful. On average a mere 30% of Cultural Change Initiatives are successful, and a lot can be lost when it fails!

Negotiating Unstructured Data to Accelerate Intelligent AutomationMindfields Global
Shaun Doherty ( Ephesoft) and Sukalp Sharma (Mindfields) discuss how organisations can better leverage unstructured data to further progress their Automation programs.
HOW TO OVERCOME TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS TO SCALE UP AUTOMATIONMohit Sharma (GAICD)
As their Automation capabilities evolve, many organizations with successful Intelligent Automation initiatives look to identify and capture further benefits by extending their Automation programs across the enterprise.
Implementing Automation at scale can present various challenges due to technical considerations such as the architecture of the target environment, managing the myriad of tools involved, support and maintenance for automation development and IT change management, among other issues.
During the webinar, guest speakers Daniel Kennedy, St. John of God’s Health Care and Abhinav Sarna, Edith Cowan University will share their practical experiences with Mohit Sharma, Mindfields about how organisations can better overcome the technical issues that can hinder the scale-up of complex Automation programs.

How Process Intelligence is enabling Intelligent AutomationMindfields Global
Experts Greg Quirk from Timeline PI and Mohit Sharma from Mindfields Global presentation on how to leverage data-driven process intelligence to drive successful Intelligent Automation.
Every part of a business needs technology to deliver new products and services, to make use of data, or to provide better experiences for customers, partners, and employees. In order to deliver this, IT can no longer function as the sole technology to the business; it must transform into an adaptive, responsive and nimble organization that can keep up with the pace of the digital era.
This presentation will show you how to create that transformation, suggest roles and functions for the modern IT organization, and provide a real-world case study of one major company that made the shift.
We have proposed to the EU a virtual incubation program aimed at helping Micro and small social enterprises (spread across 9 Countries) that are highly affected by the Covid 19 crisis. The ambition is to help these companies increase their business + financial + sustainability literacy while working side by side with stakeholders to review strategy and increase their business model resilience. Several organizations started reaching out to propose the same program locally: we are currently planning cohorts in Greece and Uganda. For more info: manu@babele.co
Being first to market provides a competitive advantage. Sharing the vision across the organization, gaining buy-in, building knowledge and enabling skills in a timely manner are essential to ensuring your organization’s market readiness. Every
moment spent working on a formal curriculum or course can potentially be a moment of opportunity lost to competitors.

Time to move from process focused automation to data centric automation pptMindfields Global
With workflows becoming increasingly complicated, the current process-centric approach is becoming more expensive to run – either through cost of automation or through the cost of people doing the work. With increasing focus on data in organisations we believe that data-driven organisations must also think differently when it comes to the role of data in their automation activities. Companies can continue to devise more complex and costly work-arounds to make a process-centric approach work in a data-centric world, or they can use an automation approach that is inherently data-centric to drive the next phase of Hyperautomation.
Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
