Emily Kuhr-Jones used YouTube extensively in researching, planning, and evaluating her coursework on music videos. She analyzed the codes and conventions of existing popular indie/rock music videos to help establish her approach. This included analyzing videos from The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, and Oasis due to their popularity on YouTube. Emily was then able to post drafts of her own music video on YouTube to get feedback and see how many views it received, helping evaluate her work.
