How does globalization affect our life!
 Globalization affects our lives in many ways, from the food we eat to the
clothes we wear.
 Due to easier and faster international trade, we have access to a wider
variety of foods at lower costs. For example, fruits and vegetables that
aren't grown locally can now be imported, giving us more choices
throughout the year.
 Similarly, clothing can be manufactured in countries with lower production
costs, making it more affordable. This also introduces new styles and
trends from around the world, influencing our fashion choices and
hobbies.
Clothing
• This is a Levi’s jean, made in Pakistan, sell in
Canada. This is an example of how globalization
works.
• The American brand designs the jeans, but instead
of making them in the US, they choose a factory in
Pakistan.
• The finished jeans are then shipped from Pakistan
to Canada, demonstrating the ease of international
trade due to advancements in transportation and
trade agreements.
• Me, a Canadian consumer, have access to an
American brand while not being limited to just
Canadian-made clothing.
4
Smart Phone
• This is my Galaxy phone from Samsung.
• Phone manufacturing is often globalized.
Components might be made in various countries
and then assembled elsewhere.
• Reduced trade barriers and a globalized market
give Canadian consumers like me a wider variety of
phone brands and models to choose from.
• This allows manufacturers like Apple (US) and
Samsung (Korea) to sell phones in Canada more
easily.
5
Food
• This is a Vietnamese Noodle Restaurant.
• Canada has a long history of immigration, these
newcomers bring their traditions, cultures, and of
course, their cuisines.
• This means Canadians can find exotic ingredients
from distant lands on their supermarket shelves.
• Globalization, the increased interconnectedness of
the world, plays a big part in this culinary
adventure.
6
Religion
• I saw number of Mosques in Canada.
• Canada has a long history of immigration, and in
recent decades, there's been a significant increase
in immigrants from Muslim-majority countries.
• Globalization fosters cultural exchange. Muslim
immigrants bring their traditions and faith to
Canada, and mosques serve as centers for their
community.
• Canada is known for its multicultural policies, which
encourage immigrants to retain their cultural
identities.
7
Recreational and beauty
• Globalization has opened doors for new business
ventures. The nail salon industry offered
Vietnamese immigrants a chance to establish
themselves in Canada.
• This created a network of Vietnamese-owned
businesses and passed down skills within the
community.
• Nail salons become a meeting point where
Vietnamese culture and beauty practices are
introduced to Canadians. This exchange fosters a
more multicultural society and appreciation for
diversity.
8
Conclusion
 Globalization has woven itself into the fabric of Canadian life.
 From the clothes we wear to the food on our tables, it's brought a world of
choices and cultural experiences.
 Smartphones connect us globally, while Vietnamese nail salons offer a
taste of international beauty trends.
 But this global connection comes with challenges. We balance the desire
for diverse goods with environmental concerns and job security.
 Ultimately, navigating globalization's complexities allows Canada to
welcome a richer, more interconnected world while promote its unique
identity.
