This document discusses the key aspects of becoming a house of prayer based on passages from the Bible. It outlines five aspects:
1. A house of prayer is first a house of His presence. When God's presence fills the temple, it brings glory.
2. It is also a house of purity. Jesus drove out those defiling the temple with commerce and restored it as a house of prayer.
3. It is a house of prayer where people from all nations can pray. Jesus condemned those who obstructed prayer.
4. A house of prayer is a house of power, where God heals and moves through prayer.
5. Finally, it is a house of praise, as
We know the dictionary definition of worship (a feeling, or devotion to a deity), and we have read John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"; but, what does the Bible teach us about the subject of worship? This is a series of lessons that gets to the heart of worship and what it really means for Christians.
Why did God give the Law - so high, So demanding, So unreasonable humanly speaking that no body (no man, no woman, no boy, no girl) has ever been able to keep them?
According to the Bible, the key issue facing mankind is sin (i.e. missing the mark that God has set for us). This presentation outlines how mankind lost its way from the original creation, the consequences of sin (the worst consequence being the separation from God) and God's salvation plan (through which God reconciles mankind to Himself through the full and final work of Jesus on the Cross). This salvation is free. But missing this could cost you etern

The Feast of Pentecost points to the following: 1) the time when Christ will pour the Holy Spirit upon his saints to prepare them for his coming during the last days; and
2) the gathering together of the 144,000, a group of saints that are deemed the “first fruit” of God’s harvest or his people.
God gave us His Word for a purpose. God wants us to be with Him in heaven. To do this we must change from serving Satan to serving God. God gave His Word so we would know how to live our lives. God gave His Word so we would change.

The word ‘grace’ is not always used in the same sense as in the bible. If you look up grace in the dictionary you will see that there are multiple meanings. Divine grace in particular is often misunderstood & misinterpreted by people. This presentation will clarify exactly what God’s grace is and how it is pertinent to our salvation.

The Rosary is one of the most beloved and distinctive Roman Catholic prayers. The prayer has a long tradition in history, but is remarkably modern, at least by Catholic standards.
"Realize the power in your hand with the Rosary, for in your hands you hold the power of God. If you do not recognize the Rosary, can you expect to be recognized by My Son? How much can you expect? Why do you hide My Rosary? It was with a Mother's loving heart that I chose to give you these pearls of Heaven that you reject.
"Woe to all dedicated who seek to remove these from the little ones' hands, for their punishment will be metered in accordance to it!
"Why has sophisticated man cast aside these tokens of My love? Those who remain true to My Rosary will not be touched by the fires. Gather these treasures, My children, for the time will come that you will not find them on the counters of your stores." - Our Lady of the Roses, October 6, 1970.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

2. Becoming a House of Prayer
Mark 11:11-17 11 And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into
the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as
the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the
twelve. ...Then Jesus went into the temple and began to
drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and
overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats
of those who sold doves. 16 And He would not allow anyone
to carry wares through the temple. 17 Then He taught,
saying to them, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a
house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it a 'den
of thieves.' "

7. 2 Chronicles 5:12-14 12 All the Levites who were
musicians-- Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun and their sons
and relatives-- stood on the east side of the altar,
dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps and
lyres. They were accompanied by 120 priests
sounding trumpets. 13 The trumpeters and singers
joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise
and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets,
cymbals and other instruments, they raised their
voices in praise to the LORD and sang: "He is good;
his love endures forever." Then the temple of the
LORD was filled with a cloud, 14 and the priests
could not perform their service because of the cloud,
for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God. .

13. Mark 11:17 'My house shall be called a house of

The Outer Court was also known as the Court of
the Gentiles. It was the place for the nations to
come and pray. Unfortunately, the space was
taken up with vendors.

•Oppressed the poor.
•The thieves robbed the nations of the opportunity
to pray.
•Robbed God of their prayers
•The Devil steals, kills and destroys the desire for
prayer.
17. We need prayer in America
Christianity began as a movement in
Jerusalem; it became a philosophy in
Greece. An institution in Rome, a culture
in Europe and a business in America.
18. SEVEN MARKS OF A PRAYING CHURCH
1.Most members have a strong devotional prayer life and are
committed to praying for others.
2. Church members have a biblical understanding of who God
is and how they can relate personally to Him through prayer.
3. Leaders are praying people and set an example of prayer for
the congregation.
4. Prayer is a way of life throughout the church. Rather than
being seen as an isolated program, prayer permeates every
ministry within the church and every outreach of the church.
19. SEVEN MARKS OF A PRAYING CHURCH
5. Corporate prayer meetings are given high priority in the
lives of the church leadership and congregation.
6. Spending time in the presence of the Lord produces
humility, purity, unity, and compassion, and Christlikeness in
the lives of leaders and the congregation.
20. SEVEN MARKS OF A PRAYING CHURCH
7. God’s presence fills His house. Perhaps the single most
distinguishing characteristic of a “house of prayer” is that it is
filled with the tangible presence of God. A lack of spiritual
appetite in the congregation is replaced by spiritual hunger.
Unbelievers’ hearts are converted by the life-giving messages
preached from the pulpit. The spiritual objectives of the
church begin to move forward, not so much by human
ingenuity and hard work as by the supernatural assistance of
God’s Holy Spirit. Striving ceases; it often seems more is
accomplished with less effort.
.
26. Matthew 21:15-16 15 But when the chief priests
and scribes saw the wonderful things that He
did, and the children crying out in the temple
and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they
were indignant 16 and said to Him, "Do You hear
what these are saying?"
And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never
read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing
infants You have perfected praise'?"
