Peter Kuperman founded Hatch Canada in 2014 after being inspired by his experience at Khan Academy. Teaching children to code has many advantages, including equipping them with 21st century skills like creating websites and programs. However, coding also benefits children's problem-solving skills as it requires computational thinking - seeing mistakes, understanding math, logic and algorithms. This teaches kids to break problems into smaller pieces to solve more efficiently, opening their eyes to new approaches and profoundly changing them as people.
