How Can
Making Peace
 Make Joy?
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children
of God.

                  Matthew 5:9
Peace – Pax

Shalom –

Pyeong Hwa – 평화 (平和)
Good people, families or nations can be
linked horizontally among themselves on
an equal footing. Where there is equality,
then there can be peace. Pyeong (平)
from the word pyeong hwa has the
meaning of even, flat, horizontal.
Without pyeong, even if hwa ( 和 ),
harmony, exists, peace will soon
disappear.

Father Moon – 10th Peace Message
Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to
peace and to mutual edification. (Romans 14:19)

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through
the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:3)

Make every effort to live in peace
with everyone and to be holy;
without holiness no one will see
the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14)

David had just said, “It’s been
useless—all my watching over this
fellow’s property in the wilderness
so that nothing of his was missing.
He has paid me back evil for good.
May God deal with David, be it ever
so severely, if by morning I leave
alive one male of all who belong to
him!”
                  1 Samuel 25:21-22
Then David accepted from
her hand what she had
brought him and said, “Go
home in peace. I have heard
your words and granted your
request.”
             1 Samuel 25:35
Do not suppose that I have
come to bring peace to the
earth. I did not come to bring
peace, but a sword.

               Matthew 10:34
when the heart is set right, then the
personal life is cultivated; when the
personal life is cultivated, then the
family life is regulated; when the
family life is regulated, then the
national life is orderly; and when the
national life is orderly, then there is
peace in this world.
