Audio Emergency Call System
Supervised Emergency Call System with Audio
Houle Security’s Emergency Call solution provides a very cost effective, reliable and easy to operate system to
allow elderly residents to call for assistance from their assisted living or independent living residence.
The system accommodates traditional nurse call devices such as wired pull cord stations and call cords for
resident bedrooms, while also supporting wireless pendant and wrist call devices. These same devices
automatically alert on-site or off-site care staff via telephone connections, letting them know the location of
the call and type of event. Responders can also communicate with resident suites by answering on their wired
or mobile telephones.
As an added bonus feature, each resident unit includes a ‘menu’ and ‘activities’ button that allows the
resident to hear what food is being offered in the lounge and what daily or weekly activities may be
available. These added features are conveniently accessible to each resident in the privacy of their own suite.
2. Advanced Features & Benefits

Peripheral stations are ideal for
location where an emergency
may need to be activated such
as washrooms, laundry rooms,
lounges, and hairdressing
salons. These devices can
provide 2-way audio
communication when coupled
with common-area receivers or
resident room stations.
Peripheral Call Station
The WR series resident stations are
typically installed in resident bedrooms
or living rooms. Each resident station
includes a separate speaker and
microphone for full-duplex audio
capabilities, as well as integrated
volume controls to allow each resident
to control the audio levels from the
comfort of their suite.
Audion Resident Stations
Each HIL light is mounted in the hallway outside of each resident
room with the suite room signage mounted overtop. The actual
indicator light is not seen by passers-by unless it is illuminated.
When illuminated, the HIL light provides a distinctive glow behind
the room signage that is easily visible by caregivers.
Hidden Indicator Lights
These consoles provide multiple
call display, as well as telephone
calling and entry door intercom
and video intercom/conferencing
capabilities. These consoles help
reduce desk space as they
eliminate the requirement for a
desktop telephone and intercom
station.
Care Station Consoles
The Freedom Emergency Call solution is an open telephony platform that supports all telephone solutions including on-site
and off-site telephones, cellular and smart-phones, as well as analog and proprietary digital telephones. Optional history
logging/reporting software may be added to any system that will record all call activity and allow managers to generate
analytics and reports on events and response times. Unlike traditional nurse call systems, smart devices support multiple call
displays, caller-ID and full-duplex audio communications for high quality communications.
Wireless Interface & Reporting
The Freedom wireless Emergency Call
system fully supports in-suite and
common-area wireless call pendants
and wrist-worn transmitters. When
pressed, the transmitter places a call
that indicates the location where the
call was placed as well as creates a
2-way voice telephone call that care
staff may use to communicate with the
calling resident.
