Anda gemar berenang di danau? Jika iya, jangan coba-coba melakukannya di danau yang satu
ini. Frying Pan Lake adalah danau 'mendidih' terbesar di dunia yang terletak di New Zealand.
Seperti namanya, air di danau ini memiliki temperatur yang tinggi hingga menyerupai wajan.
Danau ini memiliki kedalaman sekitar enam meter dengan luas sekitar 38.000 meter persegi.
Di dalamnya terdapat gunung magma yang cukup dekat sehingga menyebabkan air danau
mendidih. Meski di sekitar danau tersebut suhu hanya mencapai 50 derajat Celcius, namun
air dalam danau bisa mendidih saking panasnya. Tak hanya panas, berbagai gas beracun juga

keberadaan gunung kerinci. Mata air panas yang tersebar disetiap desa, oleh masyarakat
setempat dimanfaatkan dan ditata secara sederhana sebagai lokasi untuk kegiatan sehari-hari,
terutama untuk mandi.

utama ini, terdapat pula atraksi alam yang unik berupa geiser yang menyemburkan lumpur pekat
hitam yang panas.
