3. Here is Hot Hot Heats album cover for Elevator. It has a simple layout, and colour scheme. By using the red against the black and grey, it gives and over powering expression. The cover shows the band members repeatedly, but also a red version of them all. The puppet masters hands are also red which could signify danger, as we also see the hands controlling the band members. The band members look as though they don’t want to comply. This could also suggest their position within the musical industry, as they don’t want to comply to the stereotypical genre type. I like the simplicity of the piece, yet it has a compelling essence about it, and therefore I shall try and give this effect in my work.
4. Hot Hot Heat have done many gigs and shows across the country, and have work with many major bands such as Bloc Party. By working with mainstream artists, Hot Hot Heat will become more popular with the fans of the band they help support. It will also earn them a better reputation as they are willing to get into the music industry through any way possible. Both their fans and other bands will appreciate them more for doing this.
5. Like many other bands willing to promote them selves, Hot Hot Heat have released a variety of merchandise in order for their fans to buy, and spread the word of the band. Merchandise plays a very large factor within the advertising industry, as it allows an audience to see what the band has to offer, and will attract new fans.
