Hot Chip - Poster
This is Hot Chip San Francisco,
CA, September Live
performance with Casio Kids
poster.
This poster was purposely
designed to look like a
microchip. The idea behind
this was to tell the audience
about the type of music they
are based on, which is electro
music.

The band Hot Chip was is well known
for their electro music, songs such as
‘Over and Over’ and ‘I feel better’.
To presents this aspect of their music
they have used a microchip for their
inspiration, linking to their name, ‘Hot
Chip’ and their style of music.
The use of black and gold makes the
overall piece eye-catching, allowing it
to be scene from a distance, but by
using said colours it shows that they are
bold and serious with a touch playful
band.
The details of the gig are placed in the
bottom left corner, separated from the
rest of the artwork, purposely done to
make is more understandable and
easier for the audience to ready so they
know exactly where and when the
concert is; again the statement ‘With
Casio Kids’ has been purposely
separated from the rest of the page so
people know who is involved in the
concert besides the group.
