Honda R&D Europe Italy was established in 1996 in Rome, when a small group of Italians joined a few members of
Honda R&D Japan headquarter to establish the R&D office in the most important European scooter market. Across the
years the office’s activity become more and more important and many departments such as Research, Engineering,
Design/Styling, Modeling and Graphic team, Test Department, have been founded.
Since 2011, we are mainly in charge of 2-wheels vehicles Concept making, Market Researches and New
Technologies investigations.

7. CONTEST Our call for idea aims at creating or modifying one or more DEVICES able to enhance the
Rider’s experience on a 2-Wheelers towards Today’s and Tomorrow’s Desires of the
Customers.
The Device/Devices that you are called to create or modify could be part of the Bike, part
of the Rider Equipment or anything else interacting with the Bike or with the Rider.
Regarding the enhancement of the User Experience, we want you to focus on one or more
solutions able to impact significantly on at least one of the three social aspects deeply
modified by the technology evolution and still very partially implemented in the current
2-Wheeler world:
