Holo3D GIS (Holographic 3D Geographic Information System) is a way to improvise how we interact with the Geographic Information by using the phenomenal power of Microsoft Hololens.
Geonotes is a location-based app that notifies users when they reach a specific location. It was developed by Geoloqi, a company that provides a platform for securely sharing location data. Geonotes uses Esri's GeoTrigger Service to add locations to devices without draining significant battery life. The app allows users to leave location-based notes and notifications and access them on multiple devices. It also incorporates layers of additional geo-located information on topics like local history and earthquakes.
Kinect is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft that was first discussed in 2007 and launched for the Xbox 360 in 2010. Using motion capture technology and infrared depth sensing cameras, Kinect allows for gesture control and motion gaming without any physical controllers. It has since been adapted for use in a variety of applications including physical therapy, vascular surgery, and vehicles.
Microsoft Hololens is an untethered holographic computer running on Windows 10 that uses mixed reality to project holograms onto the transparent display using sensors and mapping algorithms. It features a Kinect, battery, cameras, speakers, and 18 sensors to track gestures, gaze and voice commands to interact with holograms in a blended physical and virtual environment. Hololens allows for new ways of teaching, learning, entertainment and exploration without cords or wires through its transparent and adjustable design.

This presentation consists of detailed information of Microsoft Hololens about what hololens is, how is it used , technical aspects of it, applications, advantages and disadvantages, comparison with rival devices, concepts of hololens
The document discusses Microsoft HoloLens, an augmented reality headset developed by Microsoft. It begins with an introduction to HoloLens, describing it as an untethered, self-contained computer powered by Windows 10. It then covers the HoloLens hardware including sensors and its custom Holographic Processing Unit. The document explains how HoloLens works by scanning the environment and overlaying holograms. Examples of uses for holograms are provided. SDKs allow developing apps for HoloLens using Visual Studio and Unity. While promising productivity gains, challenges include cost and size.
The document discusses mixed reality and the Internet of Things. It provides an overview of the history and capabilities of Microsoft HoloLens, including its components like cameras and sensors that enable inside-out tracking without external equipment. HoloLens allows users to interact with holograms through gestures, gaze, and voice in both individual and collaborative applications across engineering, medical, gaming, and other fields.
A hologram is an object like any other object in the real world, with only one difference: instead of being made of physical matter, a hologram is made entirely of light.
• Holographic objects can be viewed from different angles and distances, just like physical objects.
• Holograms do not offer any physical resistance when touched or pushed because the don‘t have any mass.
The document discusses Microsoft HoloLens, describing it as the first fully untethered holographic computer. It explains that HoloLens uses augmented reality technology to allow users to see holograms overlaid on the real world without wires or a connection to another device. The document provides details on the components inside HoloLens, including its sensors, cameras and lenses that enable it to track gestures and eye movements as inputs. It contrasts HoloLens with virtual reality and Google Glass, noting that HoloLens allows users to remain engaged with their real-world surroundings.

Windows Mixed Reality headsets allow for mixed reality experiences by projecting holograms onto see-through lenses using a set of cameras and sensors. The Microsoft HoloLens has several key components including holographic processing and rendering capabilities to overlay digital content onto the real world in real time. It can map rooms and understand spatial relationships to anchor holograms using built-in cameras, sensors, and an integrated mixed reality processor and software platform.
The document discusses mixed reality and the Microsoft HoloLens. It defines mixed reality as a hybrid of virtual and actual reality where physical and digital objects can interact. The HoloLens allows users to see, hear, and interact with holograms overlaid on the real world. It has sensors and specialized hardware like the Holographic Processing Unit that allow it to track hand motions and blend holograms into the environment. The document outlines the HoloLens hardware components, development workflow, applications like education and marketing, and concludes that the HoloLens enables rich holographic computing experiences beyond current technologies.

Virtual Interaction Using Myo And Google Cardboard (slides)Poo Kuan Hoong
This document summarizes a student project that integrated the Myo armband with Google Cardboard to create an immersive virtual reality experience for learning Japanese characters. The project objectives were to develop a Google Cardboard app integrated with the Myo armband to enable user control of a 3D environment using gestures. The project scope involved using 5 gestures without positional tracking to display Japanese characters (hiragana) drawn in the air. Accomplishments included creating a 3D classroom, integrating the Myo, and adding sound effects to identify correct character strokes. Future work could improve the plugin response time and add more gestures.

Harnessing WebAssembly for Real-time Stateless Streaming PipelinesChristina Lin
Traditionally, dealing with real-time data pipelines has involved significant overhead, even for straightforward tasks like data transformation or masking. However, in this talk, we’ll venture into the dynamic realm of WebAssembly (WASM) and discover how it can revolutionize the creation of stateless streaming pipelines within a Kafka (Redpanda) broker. These pipelines are adept at managing low-latency, high-data-volume scenarios.
Embedded machine learning-based road conditions and driving behavior monitoringIJECEIAES
Car accident rates have increased in recent years, resulting in losses in human lives, properties, and other financial costs. An embedded machine learning-based system is developed to address this critical issue. The system can monitor road conditions, detect driving patterns, and identify aggressive driving behaviors. The system is based on neural networks trained on a comprehensive dataset of driving events, driving styles, and road conditions. The system effectively detects potential risks and helps mitigate the frequency and impact of accidents. The primary goal is to ensure the safety of drivers and vehicles. Collecting data involved gathering information on three key road events: normal street and normal drive, speed bumps, circular yellow speed bumps, and three aggressive driving actions: sudden start, sudden stop, and sudden entry. The gathered data is processed and analyzed using a machine learning system designed for limited power and memory devices. The developed system resulted in 91.9% accuracy, 93.6% precision, and 92% recall. The achieved inference time on an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense with a 32-bit CPU running at 64 MHz is 34 ms and requires 2.6 kB peak RAM and 139.9 kB program flash memory, making it suitable for resource-constrained embedded systems.

CHINA’S GEO-ECONOMIC OUTREACH IN CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES AND FUTURE PROSPECTjpsjournal1
The rivalry between prominent international actors for dominance over Central Asia's hydrocarbon
reserves and the ancient silk trade route, along with China's diplomatic endeavours in the area, has been
referred to as the "New Great Game." This research centres on the power struggle, considering
geopolitical, geostrategic, and geoeconomic variables. Topics including trade, political hegemony, oil
politics, and conventional and nontraditional security are all explored and explained by the researcher.
Using Mackinder's Heartland, Spykman Rimland, and Hegemonic Stability theories, examines China's role
in Central Asia. This study adheres to the empirical epistemological method and has taken care of
objectivity. This study analyze primary and secondary research documents critically to elaborate role of
china’s geo economic outreach in central Asian countries and its future prospect. China is thriving in trade,
pipeline politics, and winning states, according to this study, thanks to important instruments like the
Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and the Belt and Road Economic Initiative. According to this study,
China is seeing significant success in commerce, pipeline politics, and gaining influence on other
governments. This success may be attributed to the effective utilisation of key tools such as the Shanghai
Cooperation Organisation and the Belt and Road Economic Initiative.
