This document discusses various geological and ecological sites in the Himalayan region of India that could be developed for geotourism, including the Morni Hills with Sherla Caves, the Tandi Limestone infolded in the Rohtang Complex, the Bara Shigri Complex in Chandra Valley, Chandra Tal in the upper Spiti Valley showing 300 million years of geology, the Tabo plant fossil locality, Suraj Tal on the Manali-Leh road, and the salt encrustation at Tsokar Lake in Ladakh. It argues that creating geoparks across national borders in the Himalayan region can help ensure global peace and prosperity.
