With biomedical signal processing algorithms, such as the Pan-Tompkins QRS peak detection algorithm, FIR filters are utilized. Raw ECG signal can be fed to a Moving window filter, which helps filter out noise and get the signal of interest. These FIR filters involve the use of multipliers and adders, which take in several input sample and output a single sample.
This paper replaces accurate adders in such filters with 10 16-bit signed approximate adders (power ve error parameters) from the EvoApprox library. Functional validation is done in MATLAB with Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) of Moving Window Integration; and
Mean Square Error (MSE) of thresholds as error metrics. MIT-BIH Arrythmia database is used as the raw ECG input.
In hardware evaluation, a 100-point FIR filter is implemented with a single Multiply-accumulate unit where the exact adder is replaced with selected approximate adder. RTL model is synthesized with 45nm NandGate Open Cell library in Synopsys design compiler. Area, Average power, and Worst-case delay are measured.
On average the presented methodology provides an area-saving of 19.71% and power-saving of 19.27%.

Presented in this short document is a description of what we call "Advanced" Production Accounting (APA) applied to a small Olefins Plant found in Sanchez and Romagnoli (1996). APA is the term given to the technique of vetting, screening or cleaning the past production data using statistical data reconciliation and regression (DRR) when continuous-processes are assumed to be at steady-state (Kelly and Hedengren, 2013) i.e., there is no significant material accumulation. For this case, the model and data define a simultaneous mass or volume linear DRR problem. Figure 1a shows the Olefins Plant using simple number indices for both the nodes and streams where Figure 1b depicts the same problem configured in our unit-operation-port-state superstructure (UOPSS) (Kelly, 2004, 2005; Zyngier and Kelly, 2012).

This document describes an open-source, low-cost, portable eye-tracking system consisting of self-built tracking glasses with attached cameras. The system is based on modifications made to the ITU Gaze Tracker software to allow for calibration in 3D space, synchronization of eye and scene videos, and both real-time and offline tracking. Evaluation results showed the system provides useful eye tracking for indoor and outdoor use, with accuracy between 0.86-1.28 degrees, though not as high as commercial systems. Limitations include unstable lighting conditions outdoors and constraints of USB bandwidth.

IRJET- Designing of a Portable Hemoglobinometer using Raspberry Pi
This document describes the design of a portable hemoglobinometer using a Raspberry Pi. It uses light-dependent resistors and LEDs to measure the amount of light absorbed by blood samples, which corresponds to the hemoglobin level. The results are sent via GSM module to a mobile app. The circuit was tested against lab readings and found to be accurate. The portable design allows convenient hemoglobin testing anywhere without needing to visit an established lab.
IRJET- Drivers Stupor Scrutinizing System
This document describes a driver monitoring system that uses image processing and sensors to detect driver drowsiness, alcohol intoxication, and lane position. The system uses a camera and the EAR (eye aspect ratio) algorithm to monitor eye closure and detect drowsiness. It also uses an MQ3 alcohol sensor to detect breath alcohol content and classify the driver's intoxication level. Additionally, it implements computer vision techniques like Hough transforms and slope filtering to detect lane markings and curves to monitor the vehicle's position within the lanes. The goal is to develop an integrated system that can reduce accidents caused by driver fatigue or drunk driving by alerting drivers in risky conditions.

Presented in this short document is a description of what we call "Advanced" Production Accounting (APA) applied to a small Olefins Plant found in Sanchez and Romagnoli (1996). APA is the term given to the technique of vetting, screening or cleaning the past production data using statistical data reconciliation and regression (DRR) when continuous-processes are assumed to be at steady-state (Kelly and Hedengren, 2013) i.e., there is no significant material accumulation. For this case, the model and data define a simultaneous mass or volume linear DRR problem. Figure 1a shows the Olefins Plant using simple number indices for both the nodes and streams where Figure 1b depicts the same problem configured in our unit-operation-port-state superstructure (UOPSS) (Kelly, 2004, 2005; Zyngier and Kelly, 2012).
