2. ABOUT US
 India is a land renowned for producing an exceptional range of handcrafted items and
handloom products. But the irony is that the huge artisan and craftsman fraternity of
such a diverse country is unable to exploit their full potentialities due to illiteracy and
lack of exposure. In an endeavor to provide helping hands to the weavers and craftsmen
and also to provide exposure to the village and small-scale industries of India, The
Handicrafts and Handlooms Exports Corporation of India Ltd. started its operations in
1962.
 It is the oldest renowned export house with international designers in its fold and
Institutional Network extending to length and breadth of the Country. In furtherance of
its objective of export promotion and trade development activity, HHEC is dedicating its
efforts with fervor to enhance its technical know-how and expertise in marketing by
participation in International Trade Fairs and exhibitions.
 All these actions prompt HHEC to be in the frontline to provide a single window service
to customers to help them to bring shape to their design concepts, perfect the same and
source the material as also handle all clearing and handling formalities till the goods
reach the customer’s warehouse.

3. HANDLOOMS / TEXTILES
Cotton – Apparel Woven, Dyed, Printed, Hand & Machine Embroidered fabrics in various
weaves and constructions including Pintuck, Patchworks and Appliqué. Our collection also
includes Cheesecloth, Denim Embroidery, Ikat, Bubbled, Crushed, Embossed Fabrics,
Nylon/Cotton, Linen/Cotton, Jute and Mixed Fiber fabrics in various finishes.
Silk – Filature, Dupion, Taffetta-Plain, Stripe, Check, Chiffon, Overprints, Embroidered
items and Hand painted embroidery, Organza cutwork, Silk Apaplque work, Nylon with
Silk Embellishment, Silk x Cotton woven fabrics, Silk Jacquard woven fabrics, Indian
Dupion silk fabrics and all types of Patch work, Pin-tuck work in silk fabrics.
Made-ups – Home furnishings – includes Bedcovers, Pillow covers, Cushion covers, Table
Cloths, Lunch/Placemats, Tea Coasters, Runners, Curtains, Norens, mittens, Pot Holders,
Crochet items with Mother of Pearl ornamentation, Shoulder Bags in Woven, Dyed and
printed fabrics of various weaves and constructions. We also manufacture Dish Cloths,
Dish Towels, and Turkish Towels, Floor coverings like Door Mats, Bath and Durries
including Kalamkari prints.
