 Head of Electricity Network Strategy &Planning Section (ENS&P) (since October 2011):
The key function is to develop highly efficient and reliable network expansion plans in the short,
medium and long term to meet future system load growth. Also, Managing all planning activities of
the distribution networks of Abu Dhabi Distribution Co., (33, 22, 11 and LV networks) covering
Central, Eastern and Western regions. Supervise and manage group of 11 Electrical Engineers
and a draftsman. The main ENS&P Section activities are:
- Produce yearly “Five Year Planning Statement” (5YPS).
- Produce yearly CAPEX plan.
- Load/ Demand Forecast and System Expansion Plans.
- Long, Medium and Short Term Strategic Planning for Distribution Networks under
ADDC, from 33 kV, 22 kV, 11 kV down to LV.
- Design and Planning of Municipality and various Authorities Infrastructure
Projects.
- Establish and update “Planning Criteria and Design Philosophy” for ADDC
Distribution Network.
- Establish and update Strategies, Policies and Procedures for various ADDC
business activities; such as Asset Utilization, Initiation of new Primary Substations,
Standard Connection Agreements.
- Plan and initiate all Consultancy Services and Construction contracts to implement
projects planned under 5YPS.
- Contribute in the “Distribution Code Review Panel”.
- Contribute in the “Transmission Code Review Panel”.

 Design of MS ACCESS data bases applications for Load Demand Notifications, Work
Orders and various useful applications to help in system load monitoring and
implementation of network reinforcement.
