2. What is HWPC ?
HWPC is based upon three sacred concept of
AYURVEDA
The theory of VATA, PITTA & KAPHA
The concept of AMA or Free Radicals
The Rasayanatantra/Mode of Rejuvenation
4. VATA
Vata (Air and Ether)
The principle of movement
is responsible for the
nervous system, breathing,
and process of elimination,
evacuation and circulation
5. PITTA
Pitta (Fire and Water),
the principles of metabolism or
transformation is responsible
for all metabolism processes,
e.g. digestion and body
temperature, and mentally for
intellect and emotions
6. KAPHA
Kapha (Water and Earth),
the principles of structure or
cohesion is responsible for
firmness and stability of the
body and fluid balance.
7. The concept of AMA or Free Radicals
{Free radical damaging chart}
Ama is derived from 2
words;
“Aa” means near to and
“Ma” means poison
8. The concept of AMA or Free Radicals
{The Ayurvedic approach}
Ama = the Deadly Free Radicals –
“Sarve roga api mandagnow”(in SANSKRIT)
–
The root cause of all disease is mandagni
{Manda-Agni} (Weak digestive
fire/enzymes).
the knowledge of Agni to the Ama production
in Amashaya, to understand the healthy and
non-healthy state of the human body.
9. The concept of AMA or Free Radicals
{the Modern approach}
Ama = the Deadly Free Radicals –
Free radicals produced in our body are
unpaired unstable molecules, lacking the
appropriate electrons necessary to be
stable.
This is exactly what our fore fathers in
Ayurveda have outlined the Concept of Ama
formation, which when unchecked leads to
all types of above mentioned ill-health
conditions.
10. The Rasayanatantra/Mode of rejuvenation
LoLFkL; ÅtkZLdU;rq rn~ o`";e~] rn~ jlk;ue~
Rasayana is the word for rejuvenation and
is the branch of Ayurveda, equally about
maintaining or preserving good health as it
is about treating disorders.
11. The Rasayanatantra/Mode of rejuvenation
(Mode of action of Rasayana)
As per Ayurveda Rasayana measures act in Rasa, Agni
and Srotamsi level and act at one or at all three levels and
nourish all the 7 structural components known as SAPTA
DHATUS in Ayurveda, they are;
RASA = Plasma,
RAKTA = Blood,
MAANSA = Flesh,
MEDA = Fatty tissue,
ASHTHI = Bone,
MAJJA = Bone marrow and
SHUKRA = Reproductive tissues.
12. RASA – AGNI – SROTAMSI
CHART
Rasa level: By direct enrichment of
nutritional values of the circulation
plasma. This results spontaneously by
direct assimilation in blood to give
energy to body.
Agni level: By promoting nutrition
through improving digestion and
metabolism. This results improved
appetite, digestion, absorption and
metabolism and have some anabolic
effect.
Srotamsi level: By promoting micro-
circulatory channels carrying nutrition
to the tissues. This results improved
tissue health and their quality.

( Ayurvedic Vs Modern)
AGE LIMITS
WHEN
BODY
PARTS
BEGINS TO
FALTER
BRAIN
by 70 you will start to see age related brain changes
speed up
EARS
Age-included hearing loss happens gradually, but 1 in
3 people ages 65 to 74 has it .
BONES
Bone mass tends to go downhill at a rate of up to 1%
per year after 35
LUNGS
Lung function begins dropping 1% a year at 30
SKIN
From around 18, resilient collagen and stretchy el
decline at about1% per year
EYES
by age 40, range of s
ight declines
MUSCLES
All of us lose muscle
and gain fat as we
age
HEART
heart disease
typically kicks in
around age 65
KIDNEY
You won’t
necessarily feel it,
but decline in kidney
functions start
around 50
GUT
Villi in your intestine - tiny hairlike
projections that absorb the nutrients
in food - tend to flatten out around
age 60

16. Diseases, Disorders and Ayurveda
We have learned that in order to optimize ones
health the noble concept of Ayurveda
emphasizes on balancing lifestyle by
consuming prescribed Rasayana herbs,
minerals. Let’s study various lifestyle related
diseases as well as disorders with Ayurvedic
perspectives.
