The ability to answer difficult questions in an ever changing world is an advantage. I am
a University Studies major with communications, human resource development and restaurant,
hotel and institutional management as my areas of concentration. These three areas of
concentration give me an advantage in my life. Each area of concentration helps me deal with
problems that arise on a daily basis. A problem that exists in the United States right now is a
problem of illegal immigrant entry at the United States and Mexico border. This issue affects
businesses in the United States. This paper will research the issue with a large emphasis placed
on my areas of concentration. The research will look at how effective communication can have a
positive impact on the problem. The research will look at the issue from a human resource
development perspective. The research will show the treatment and changing of society and how
business can effectively manage this change. It will also look at the restaurant, hotel and
institutional management aspect of immigration and Mexican immigrants. This problem has an
impact on the world, and a more interdisciplinarian perspective can help with the issue.
