This document discusses the history and evolution of Ideato, a non-profit organization that promotes good development practices through conferences and other activities. It started by organizing a free Italian conference but saw limited success. It then transitioned to an English conference with paid tickets that was more appealing to international attendees. However, it also created cheaper Italian conferences and initiatives to support the local community. After several successful years expanding its events, Ideato continues to help developers and communities grow through conferences and other learning opportunities.
