The Heatfast HF1220 is a self-regulating trace heating cable that provides frost protection for exposed pipework. It can also be used for temperature maintenance. The cable's conductive core allows heat output to adjust based on temperature conditions along the pipe in order to provide heat only where needed. The cable can be cut to length on site and has a maximum circuit length of 129 meters depending on the circuit breaker size. Accessories include connection kits, controls, junction boxes and warning signs.

Product Overview
T&D’s Heatfast HF1220 is a self-regulating trace heating cable ideal for frost protection to pipework
exposed to low ambient temperatures. It can also be used for temperature maintenance
applications.
Parallel bus wires apply voltage along the entire length of the heater cable. The conductive core
provides an infinite number of parallel conductive paths allowing the cable to be cut to length on
site.
The self-regulating ability of the Heatfast HF1220 cable is derived from the properties of the
conductive core material. As the core temperature increases the number of conductive paths in the
core decreases – decreasing the heat output.
This occurs at every point along the length of the cable, adjusting power output to the varying
conditions along the pipe and ensures that the cable is only producing heat if it is required.
