This document discusses using the Right to Information Act (RTI) to improve healthcare in India. It provides an overview of RTI, healthcare indicators in India, and how RTI can be leveraged through proactive disclosures to increase transparency, accountability, and citizen participation. By disseminating information on healthcare facilities, schemes, insurance, and curbing quack doctors through RTI, awareness and health outcomes could be improved. Linking RTI to frameworks like the National Health Mission and digitization efforts may help address issues more efficiently.
