The Harp seal is native to northern Atlantic and Arctic oceans. It has a black harp-shaped marking on its back and black face with silvery-grey body. Though they were nearly extinct due to overhunting, conservation efforts have helped increase the population, but threats from predators, loss of habitat and food sources, and pollution still endanger the species.
This is a short presentation about one of the endangered species - the Blue Whales. The slides are orientated into talking more, so there's not a lot of information in the slides, despite a few pictures, a map and a diagram.
Biodiversity is all forms of life and the ecosystems of which they are a part. Adelaide once had a rich variety of wildlife, now it is under serious threat today. The loss of biodiversity has been caused through European settlement developing the land for residential, agriculture and industry usage. This has led to the clearance of vegetation, fragmentation and a decline of many species.

1. The Harp Seal
The Harp seal was usually found in cold places until
they were hunted and killed. Most people said they
were extinct but they were just really hard to find
because of the lack of population.
The Harp seal (saddle back seal) is native to norther
most Atlantic Ocean and parts of the Arctic Ocean. It
also has a black harp or wish-bone shaped markings
and a black face with a silvery-grey body.But the
eyes are pure black, and a baby seal starts with a
yellowy-white coat, but after 3 days the coat turns
white for about 12 days until it is finally a adult,an
adult seal can grow a length of 1.7 to 2.0m and a
weight from 140 to 190kg.
There are many reasons the harp seal is endangered
but beside humans, their sea enemy’s are killer
whales, sharks and polar bears but humans take fish
which is their food and it makes them have to look
2. some were else, pollution is another killer that
destroys every thing in its path.
There has been lots of things that have been done
to help the harp seal, but the sea enemies keep
taking over and over but it still seems there is
going to be not a good future for this specie.
This is why they need help or just suport to help
save this magnisafint creature from extinction.
