Robbert van de Corput, known by his stage name Hardwell, is a Dutch DJ and music producer. He was voted the world's #1 DJ in 2013 and 2014 by DJ Magazine. Hardwell is widely known for his live sets at major music festivals and his YouTube channel has over 100 million video views. He founded his own record label, Revealed Recordings, in 2010 and a radio show and podcast called Hardwell On Air in 2011. Hardwell started learning classical piano at age 4 and DJing at age 12, getting his first record label signing at age 13.

1. Hi my name is Robbert van de Corput . I was born on January 7 in 1988 in
Breda, Net herlands. I ’m bet t er known by my stage name Hardwell, i’m
a Dutch progressive and elect ro house DJ and music producer. I was voted
the world's #1 DJ on DJ Magazine's annual Top 100 DJs poll in 2013 and
then, again in 2014. I ’m widely known for my live set s at major music fest ivals
such as Tomorrowland and Ult ra Music Festival. The video st reams of my
performances on my personal YouTube channel have collect ively garnered
more than 100 million views.
I ’m gained my first recognit ion in 2009 for my boot leg of "Show Me Love vs.
Be". I founded record label Revealed Recordings in 2010 and my own radio
show and podcast , Hardwell On Air in 2011. I has since released
five compilat ion albums through my label, as well My own documentary
film. In October 2014, I announced my debut studio album, United We
Are will be released in early 2015.
I started learning classical piano when I was four years old and DJing when I
was 12. I was first inspired to become a DJ at the age of 11 after watching a
documentary about DJs on the Dutch MTV. At the age of 13, I was signed
to my first record label and by the age of 14, I began DJing at reputable
clubs across the Netherlands. However, my parent s had to chaperone as I
wasn't allowed into the clubs at such a young age. As a kid, I enrolled at a
music oriented school and the Rock Academy. Three months into the Rock
Academy, I was advised to quit and to pursue a career in music
immediately. I often cited fellow Breda nat ive, Tiësto, as my biggest
inspirat ion and mentor.
